The chart is generated on the server as an image. The only thing I can think of is some alpha channel issue in the PNG - do you happen to be using IE6? A somewhat related issue - I am occasionally getting this error when viewing the chart images:
RE4 had a lot of critical praise, but maybe this is an indication that people just didn't like it all that much.
