@crusaderprophet: I actually thought the same. I interpreted your first paragraph to mean the game was terrible, and I was a bit horrified. However, what you meant to say was that your skills were horrible, which nobody gives a shit about and I have no idea why you put that in the article. Very poorly written.
Everyone, including myself, expected Shadow of Mordor to be just another shitty movie adaptation -- another pure cash grab. No one was more shocked than I to discover it to be one of the best games I've ever played. I hope they are able to repeat.
I just hope there is a good single player campaign with decent length. I couldn't care less about the online multiplayer. To me, once you've played one of these games multiplayer you've played them all, and I really have no interest in listening to 14 year-olds giggling about boobies and calling each other trash. The developers treat the single player campaign like an afterthought. Most campaigns can be completed in a few hours. That's why I haven't bought a CoD-type game in years.
This is one of the wars that is largely ignored by game makers for no apparent reason, so I'm glad to see this setting. If they make a Korean war game next, we'll know they mean business.
Didn't everyone play the first game for about an hour then never touch it again? I remember Origin begging me for months to download it for free. Why is it getting a sequel?
@darthrevenx: I don't know if you're aware of this but you have the option of not playing the game if you don't like it, just as others have the option of playing it if they do.
I haven't enjoyed a James Bond movie since Sean Connery stopped making them. The newer ones I've seen have been action films, rather than Bond movies. There was no grace or finesse and they completely lacked wit and clever storytelling.
