In my opinion: What's wrong: First of all (and I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for this, but someone has to say it), the current focus on online gaming. This whole DLC business, streaming games and focus on online multiplayer is making a lot of developers ignore those of us without internet (and trust me - back home, that was a lot of people, including me). Those people will probably never get to play masterpieces like Braid, will never get to truly enjoy those games focused more on the multiplayer than the single-player experience, and if this whole "streaming services" thing starts to replace consoles, they'll be denied of gaming in general. And trust me, so many people keep saying that "streaming is the way of the future" and "consoles will be made obsolete because we don't have to pay for those components" but they're forgetting something: What if you don't have an online connection? How will you play those games then? Start focusing on the single-player experience more, devs, please. Another problem is the lack of originality in games outside the downloadable market. People, I am getting tired of seeing the wall on my nearest game store filled with nothing but movie tie-ins and sequels. Sure, there are a few originals out there, but they're not gonna sell as much when they're in a market full of "triple-A titles" that are just copies of earlier games but with better graphics and an established fanbase.
