Not sure if this will get locked... worth a try

Lems... tell me why, in 3 bullets points or less (most likely less, given how crap the xbox actually is) why is superior to the PS4

This is to exclude upcoming or exclusive games (as this reflects on the devs of the games rather than Sony or MS)

I wont bother trying to defend the PS4.. doesn't really need it

PS this isn't a troll thread, i'm honestly trying to see why xbots love their VHS player so much... as the reasons are all over the place to be honest

Also in PS4 you need to go lobby, create twitch lobby and settings before you can do anything while with Xbox One you just say it with voice chat and thats it, no menu or lobby thing. Easy, fast and simple.

You talking about streaming from the PS? if so then no you don't.. just hit share and broadcast. If you are talking about video chat with someone else well... i honestly didn't even know the PS4 could do that... thats how little I care about video chat... i suspect that view is reflected by most gamers.... other than xboners

Fact: Gears of War looked better than most PC games when it released.

You contradicted yourself within once sentence... this is not a fact... by nature its an opinion. I believe BF2142 was a way prettier game than Gears... but thats my opinion

Seriously, despite the addition of analog thumbsticks (ugh) and two extra shoulder buttons, things have hardly changed since the SNES.

Yeah, the Wii gave it a good shake (Ha! Pun!) but not in the direction most gamers wanted to go. Most people want to sit on their ass while they unwind and play games, so despite its innovation it's no surprise the Wiimote didn't catch on with the core gamer. This is also one of many reasons the Kinnect doesn't light a fire in people.

"Wait you hypocrite hermit," I hear you screaming, "keyboard and mouse hasn't changed since the pyramids were built!" This is true. But I'd like to point out two things:

1. The PC is not limited to keyboard and mouse. I myself have many input devices for my PC, from force-feedback joysticks (and I mean force feedback, NOT rumble) to a full flight sim cockpit setup. We have options that we can vary from game-to-game or just by preference.

2. The KB/M does not have the inherent inadequacies that non-1:1 analog movement introduces necessitating the need for things such as snap-to-lock-on aiming.

Ever played an RTS with a controller? Of course you haven't, but if on the chance you actually have, you understand the failings of such a scheme.

Look, I'm not saying consoles should adopt KB/M (though they totally should have that option), but their current configurations are tired and their shortcomings have been addressed through software (that lock-on again) rather than progressive hardware.

It's not like better ideas don't exist, because they totally do:

Am I saying your console controller should look like that? Well, no...but it is a step in the right direction.

If you get down to the root of why hermits like myself prefer the PC, once you get past all the graphical limitations (and I mean come on, 10 years ago we hermits were more than happy with PCs that don't match the specs of today's consoles) and the ability to mod (which we'll ignore because not all PC gamers mod) it comes down to two things:

1. Lack of specific genre (often due to lack of an appropriate/accurate control method).

2. Those damn controllers.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's not the hardware inside your console that's holding it back, it's the hardware you hold in your hands.

OKay i agree with a lot of your post except the bold sections

1) Snap aim or "auto aim" is not necessary.. i assure you. Its the first thing i turn off in FPS on console as if you are skilled enough, its just a hindrance. Only difference between keyboard and mouse/pad here is the mouse in inherently more accurate... doesn't make a user requires help to reach the same level of accuracy

2) RTS are a game type i'm really looking forward to playing on my PS4 this gen.. why? the trackpad..... think of that it can do..... its essentially a mouse attached to the pad. I'm also waiting for sony to allow users to use it in say the web browser etc. Point being the pads are evolving.... agreeably slowly but they are still a huge step forward compared tot he SNES you references

This story has been spun into a negative somehow with people saying it's a middle finger to early adopters in the UK and I wanted to explain why it isn't.

The deal is, a £30 price reduction AND Titanfall thrown in.

Versus the £429 price tag the 'early adopters' were paying, However, I don't know if the following point just got lost or was simply forgotten by people outside of the UK.

But everyone who pre-ordered the console in the UK got either Fifa 14 or Forza 5 thrown in.

Now for the early adopters, this offsets the Titanfall part of the deal, because they still got a decent game at launch.

So it is literally just a £30 price reduction, which is a sweet spot, because MS need to reduce it to under £400 realistically, but without pissing off the early adopters. And £30 isn't really going to piss anyone off.

If it was £40 to £100, that would be way too much of a reduction.

Fifa 14 is a big deal in Europe and will sell way more than Titanfall. And Forza 5 is probably the highest scoring launch game this gen. Also Titanfall is a multiplayer only game, so it's less useful to most buyers.

Even now you can still get non 'Day One Edition' Official Fifa 14 X1 bundles for the same price of £429.

Not the case. Asda were allowing pre-orders for xbox vanilla... just the standard machine. no game included

  • MGSV PS3 - 640p/-30
  • MGSV 360 - 640p/-30
  • MGSV Xbone - 720p/60
  • MGSV PS4 - 1080p/60 + Sky simulation + Room to spare

PS3 and 360 are pretty much even. PS4 destroys the Xbone.

No, They could easily make MGSV 1080p and 60fps with sky simulation.

Sky simulation takes no space at all. He said he made 720p on Xbox One because he loves PS4 more than Xbox One. He said that he wants PS4 version to be better, not Xbox One.

720p shitty game vs 1080p nicer game.

Its all depends how lazy developers are or not

links and sources to back up your bullshit statement please :)

ahh it can only be a good thing that install times are quicker. Although disc installs will still be insanely slow, given that M$ have lowered the speed of the drive to stop it from shattering (remember the clanky noise on launch)
