Alright well, I've had my PS3 since Jan. 6 and it was amazing. But right now, I am getting a tad bit annoyed at the lack of good games and the delays *cough Rainbow Six cough*. But other than that, it's a great system. Resistance is a really good game and also I heard that Motorstorm is a decent game. But if you really want good games, you would have to wait until the end of the year. But another great thing is that the online is free and its pretty good. Also the new update is probably going to come out soon, so that would be a plus. So really it's up to you to decide tho. I also doubt that there will be a price drop at least until next year around Christmas.
