Trading in your Wii... What's wrong with you? Did you ignore all the new games (that are gonna kick butt by the way) that were announced at E3? I am dissapointed.

No kidding huh? I mean you can do whatever you want but I'm glad I left my Wii sitting in the corner for god knows how long now instead of pawning it off. Kirby Epic Yarn!!

If you want an mp3 player for sound quality, Apples the LAST player you want to look at. iPods have a history of mediocre sound quality. Why Apple doesnt want to be at the forefront of sound fidelity with their players is anyone's guess... If you want good audio quality at a competative price and super portable, theres no better choice imo then the SanDisk Sansa clip plus. http://www.anythingbutipod.com/archives/2009/08/sandisk-sansa-clip-plus-review.php With up to 8 GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot, and amazing audio quality, it really is hard to beat from a value proposition. The 8 GB goes for a mere $70, probably even less online. As an original clip owner, I can vouch for their awesomeness...

Would like to get a monitor or HDTV that I can use for both my 360 and possibly also my future Mac mini. Not really that picky, just a few requirements: 32" minimum for HDTV, 24" minimum for monitor Would perfer 1080p since I do a lot of illustration and design work, but I can squeeze down to 720p if the panel is worth it Needs an HDMI port, preferably 2 or more if its an HDTV Thats about it. Right now Im running a 20" monitor and 19" 720p set for my PC and Xbox, respectively. Would like to have one good screen for both instead of two OK ones.

Well I'd say if you have an HDTV, just getting a system with a HDMI port would be worth the $45.

The Jaspers do run quieter and cooler than the old models for sure. I've got a Falcon and it runs way quieter than the launch models. Unless the DVD drive is spinning you hardly hear it at all. My brother has a Jasper and it is even quieter than mine. I'd say grab the new Arcade without a doubt. You get a new system, that runs cooler, and quieter. You get a brand new warranty that is good for 3 years.

The only downside is that you loose the shiny chrome disc tray accent with the Arcade, although I'm sure it can be switched pretty easily.

I actually like the unified color that the Arcade has. Just wish it was in black xD

Every other company seems to be porting over their console offerings to the 3DS, seeing as 3DS will be getting Super Street Fighter IV, Dead or Alive, and even a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. I'm guessing Sega will port over Sonic '06 to the 3DS?

ThePerro
http://bit.ly/7C6b2K In all seriousness though, Sega seems to be (FINALLY) getting their console act together with Sonic 4. As long as they keep their focus in the handheld realm, which has been overwhelming good over the past decade (seriously, Sonic Advance 2 challenges the best of Sonics classic outings as all time best blue blur game), there really shouldnt be anything to worry about... *knocks on wood*

Id love to see Twin Snakes on the 3DS, as well a 3D Pokemon game... Seriously Nintendo, Ive been waiting since Stadium came out on the 64. You have no excuse now considering the hardware. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I usually restrict myself to one full price purchase a year, so between the Wii and 360 games coming out in the next few months, its gonna be really hard to keep that rule... It'll probably come down to either Gears, Halo, or the new Kirby on the Wii (one of these things is not liek the other...xD)

the 360 is just a loud system in general but it has gotten alot better from the early models. I say do it just for piece of mind that chances are you wont run into any problems. Plus if been so long since you have played you got some rad games to catch up on.

calicoolguy
Haha yea I'm still workin on some ORIGINAL Xbox games xD (KOTOR 1 and 2 being the most glaring ommissions currently), not to mention 360 titles like Bioshock. Half.com is quickly becoming my best friend, hurray 99 cent Xbox games! But you're right, the warranty alone would probably be worth it. Based on this years E3, the 360 isnt going anywhere anytime soon...

As long as we get head tracking in FPS games, itll be a justified purchase to me. Also, I think its a bit early to judge the platform, both the Wii and DS were hard sells initially, but both platforms have flourished and produced some awesome new game mechanics. Give it a year or so for devs to wrap their heads around it, we'll see some cool stuff come E3 2011
