Well, this sounds like it's on the right track - though I'd love a true open world.

I'm happy to hear they've toned down the combat from DA2, I felt like I was playing whack-a-mole with endlessly sky spawning weak enemies.

What exactly does that mean for the new Dragon Age and Mass Effect games? Seriously, you thought EA had already screwed the pooch on those - but forced online components? Did you learn nothing from the Simcity fiasco?

You know what destigmatizes violence? How about two wars over the last decade? How about extrajudicial assassinations carried out by our government on American citizens?

We clearly had no violence in our society before video games. Someone needs to open a history book.

Oh man, a pro-tax Republican - quick photograph the rare beast! How about we instead charge an extra tax on gun sales to pay for the care of the actual victims of firearms rather than the fictitious crazy gamers?

The only real thing that video games and media do that lends to this violence is the further glorification of our gun culture. It all comes back to guns - despite the NRA smokescreen.

He's just throwing up a smoke screen for his organization and their gun industry clients (and making a sales pitch to buy more guns at the same time!)Other nations play violent video games. Other nations watch the same movies we do. Other nations have no where near the number of firearms that we do. They have a fraction of the gun violence rate and mass shooting rate of the United States."Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"

I see some people complaining about no jedi and no lightsabers. These must be the kiddies that grew up on the prequels. I'm hoping, as an older Star Wars fan, that this may join the ranks of earlier great Star Wars games - Tie Fighter, Dark Forces, etc. This universe is so much more rich than just jedi and lightsabers, and the original films hardly featured that stuff (they were one part of an epic story.) I can at least admire that the developers are trying something different.

@Gelugon_baat How can you say there's no proof of them being paid off? Last I checked, EA ads are all over this website. Gamespot also has a history: http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/03/21/gaming-the-system-how-a-gaming-journalist-lost-his-job-over-a-negative-review/ Gamespot has motive and a history, the case for them being corporate mouthpieces, under the guise of snobby art critics, is fairly compelling. I repeat, Gamespot is a joke.

@wilson336 - No, it means that George Lucas should have listened to his audience more before releasing that stinker - everyone was a little cautious when he said he was going to direct. At this point, we don't even want Lucas to touch the Star Wars films anymore, so he can't add in more awfulness. Games are a form of interactive media - Bioware created a game that allows players to decide which way the story goes, making it even more interactive - the ending departed from that model. They don't have to change the ending, it's ultimately their choice, but their fans aren't happy with the ending, as is. If they care about that, they will release additional content that adds more to the end of the game.
