Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. My reason for not liking it may not be that fair but I played it at a family friend's house and it bored the hell out of me. He kept showing me the same thing over and over again. Summoning jetpacks, tanks, etc. out of nowhere over and over again with cheats and killing random people was just way too repetitive. I did find out after doing some research on it that there actually is a story and missions that you're supposed to do though so maybe if I actually played the game properly, I'd like it. I just can't motivate myself to pick out any recent entries in the series though since my first exposure to the series was just boring.

One game that I can't stand for sure is God of War, although this may be a case of the game not meeting the ridiculously high expectations that I had for it after seeing all the hype. Everyone (including one of my friends) acted like it was the best thing ever so I went ahead and bought it only to be met with a typical action adventure game that's more polished and solid than the rest. I guess I was expecting it to do something new and revolutionary with all the hype it was getting. Unfortunately, because of that disappointment, I can't quite motivate myself to get the rest of the series. I'm not going to deny that God of War is a good game though, it technically is but I just can't stand it after that experience no matter how much people loved it and I shelved the game ever since I finished it.

The area I live in has a very small child population so I can't really speak for that demographic since I rarely ever see children around but my situation is similar to that of the topic creator. I never see teens or adults (in other words: almost everyone) playing with their DS in public. My friend and I are an exception though since we get bored when we run out of stuff to talk about on the bus or subway and don't hesitate to play stuff on our DSes. I honestly haven't seen anyone else playing their DS in public in a long time though. I don't know if it's just to maintain a public image or people just aren't that interested in it where I live.

You're making me feel so old. I'm still in high school and my hair is already thinning :P

It's a genetic thing for me though. It's probably the same for you.

I don't see the problem either. There are games that got a 6 here on Gamespot and I would easily rate it an 8 or somewhere around that. At the same time, there asre games that Gamespot would rate 9.5 that I would mark an 8 or lower. Gamespot (or any other game website) isn't the definitive source of game quality evaluations so like I was saying, I don't see the problem with the people you're talking about. If the game is a 10 for them then it's a 10.

I can understand taking a shower with a parent as a baby or toddler but I have never taken a shower with a cousin before.

I haven't even heard of that being done until now :?

Bagged milk drinkers!

Woohoo! Bagged milk! :P

Anyways, my friend keeps endlessly recommending Uncharted to me so I'd recommend that (I've heard it's rather short though so think about that before finalizing your decision) and I'd also recommend Ratchet & Clank since I love the series.
