Due to the massive ammount of matewrials need for this achievement (without duping that is) im putting my name out there if anyone needs a hand with this i just finished a nice long rail specifically for this achievement so if anyone is having difficulty getting this or is just too lazy to do it on your own (i dont blame you) shoot me an invite on xbox and mention either the achievemnt or this post... you can leave a message here if you want but i dont check this all that often so it may take a bit...
slimes dont just spawn anywhere, they only spawn in random chunks check out http://mcslimes.appspot.com/ and put in your coords, seed #, and a distance and it will show you where there are "slime chunks" near you then just mine down and dig out a huge well lit room and that should work... even then slimes dont spawn too often unless you light up all the caves in the area also so nothing else spawns.
if you need some ideas i have done some hidden piston doors (2x2) and (1x2) that are easy, hidden stairs, and some bridges that open up into lava... i have been messing around with the pistons trying make other things too, send me a n invite and maybe i can show you and explain what i do personaly.
