@rufus_: I just wanted to keep my post positive hence why I avoided mentioning connection issues specially since this will vary between locations and not everyone will experience such problem... But oh my!!!, Rockstar is THE WORST EVER across every single game company I've encountered in my gaming history (and it is long) when it comes to connection and connection issues.

Much enough I had to purchase a VPN subscription just and only for RDR2 Online because of the 27140000 error that prevent me and all my friends from being able to join each other.

Been facing issues in general with Rockstar games (and only Rockstar games, the hundreds of other games I play all work fine) since after they made the deal with Akamai CDN in 2018, before that things were working OK with GTAV Online, but after that deal in 2018 we started having all kind of issues connecting to game sessions and joining each other, and thankfully the Steam version of GTAV have a join option through Steam's friend list, that is the only way for me and my friends (who all have it on Steam as well) to get to join each other, it is the only actually working way, and unfortunately it is working only for GTAV Online but not for RDR2 Online, it is impossible for us to join each other on RDR2 Online without a VPN!!!, which is really frustrating for a game that is so much fun with friends like RDR2... :/

For all those who does not understand the appeal of GTAV Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 Online (and I'll assume they refer to the online and not the single player campaign) is that the online in both games works as a perfect sandbox that allows you to do almost everything you could do in any other game while having a connection and a layer of immersion with the world around you...

You name it, Team Death Match with Objective (Similar to CSGO), or just Team Death Match, Last Man Standing, Survival Modes, Car races (like any good car racing game), Horse races for RDO, even Jet races and Dog Fights with any kind of fighter helicopters you'd like (like any good air fights game), open world exploration for both, underwater exploration which is a thing that I enjoy a lot in GTAV and in any game that have such thing in general, the wild life for RDO, along with all the scripted activities like heists for GTAV and online story missions/bounty hunts for RDO... And the list can keep going on...

All while connecting you with the game world, makes it feel more like home, something like when you buy the business that you use to start the missions and set it up, take care of it and manage it and then prepare for the stuff you're doing, choose they way to execute and do stuff your way, makes you feel that you're in control of all the aspects of what you are doing and give you something to own and return to in the game world, gives that fake sense of progression and achievement that kicks in that right amount of dopamine that you need out of a video gaming session to feel happy and wanting to come back for more... I understand though, for some people loading to a menu, selecting a mode and then entering into a quick PvP session of shooting bunch of people hundreds of times in the face and scoring up to MVP, helps them get the same amount of dopamine, they leave happy and wanting to come back for more... It is understood, to each their own thing, what I explained above is the thing for those who keeps coming back for more of that immersive sandbox of GTAV Online and RDR2 Online...

Let alone experiencing all that with friends on your side... :)

Am i the only one who believes that the whole '3' thing here is just them slashing back at Valve for not being able to ever get to 3 before!

@maniacalpoet @stev69 Wrong. Valve clearly stated that at any time they come to close their Steam service they 'Will provide users with another mean to have access to their games library'.

On Steam, you actually OWN what you buy, it is not a rental system.

@Dante-xero @Evil__Homer Which is not a bad thing IMO, i think of it as dual booting two OS, one for work and all stuff and one for games.

And that is exactly what i always thought would be a better way to make use of the most of your hardware during gaming.

@Renoo27 That is not the point, the problem is ONLY ONE can play any game from the library at the same time, so if you want to play 'Bioshock 1' while the borrower is playing 'Tomb Raider 1" Steam will send a message to the borrower to turn off "Tomb Raider 1" because you want to play "Bioshock 1" and then it will kick them from the game so you can play...

Because ONLY ONE can access this 'ENTIRE' library at any time, so it is either you or the borrower, this is not game specific, it is the entire library. :)

At its current stage only 'ONE' user can have access to the shared library at any given time, so even if the lender want to play 'X' game, the borrower will be sent a (buy or exit within a few minutes) message even if he/she was playing 'Y' game.

Until they fix that and allow at least two players to play two different games at the same time from within the same library (the lender and one borrower) this feature will remain not much useful.
