@elax92: action RPG's are good co-op fun. Diablo 3, Torchlight 2, Magicka

there's also side scrolling games like the Trine series.

THey still lock stuff behind a paywall that's on your disc

This point is often overblown. you know that some software comes with lots of versions or components on the same disc and you just activate the ones you paid for. there's a license key or each additional component. why should you expect to get them all? heck just using Windows you know that there's a limit on the number of connections you can have to prevent you from using it as a server. OMG the paywall!

Loved this game. I put in about 80-90 hours and finished almost everything except some of the collectible stuff. I really enjoyed the world and the quests all seemed to fit in the world pretty well. so many good side quests and the companion quests were really some of my favorites.

really not surprising. this is like alpha or beta stage for the games. they aren't running on the final hardware either. I would wait for actual launch reviews before making judgements on performance.

what about things like A.I and set of instructions based of something IE like a players drivers tendencies? Dont you think that could of have merit in making A.I more lifelike? Thanks tho for the explaination of things, i always am willing to listen and learn.

The actual AI in the drivatars probably isn't that sophisticated. they aren't dynamic after all. they are created afterwards. To me the cloud aspect of the drivatars is really in the distribution of them. They get stored in the cloud and sent to all your friends. they get updated in the cloud and sent to your friends. but really I believe they actually creation of the drivatars isn't as resource intensive as you might think. also for a game like titan fall the cloud is basically a dedicated server that runs the game's AI and many other things. but here's an interesting thing they can do if they can pull it off. in theory they could use the cloud for graphic enhancements for things like cutscenes. since they wouldn't need to be real time responsive that could work to make cutscenes in engine and look much better. don't know if anyone is doing that though.

This is why F2P games like Planetside 2 are coming to the PS4. Sony finally freed up their network to allow devs the ability to maintain and update their games on their own schedules. This whole "cloud" is pretty much the same.

Wasdie
this is actually a huge point. MS charges for updates which F2P games have almost every week or 2. this is not all that appealing to F2P games unless they can make some deals with MS to make it free for them. Even games like the Witcher 3 have said that they will release free DLC for PC but for consoles it will depend on the platform fees.

they will never open up there minds, they think this is going to be similar to what they have seen in PC gaming is flatout bullshit. I never heard of rendering in the cloud, or computations to help you at a local level, or something like drivatar which takes your tenedencies and uploads it to A.I from the cloud to local machine level, this is something that is wait and see. I do for one think the cloud will produce some interesting aspects for the xbox 1, but talking to Wasdie or clyde trying to make them see that is like punching a wall. Cant wait for day 1 and see if drivatar is as fun as I think its going to be.

Mr720fan

None of that is in real time. yes the drivatar is cool but it's not really something that couldn't be done on the system itself because it's not done in real time anyway. what the cloud really does is distributes the drivatars of you and your friends around so that you don't need to transmit them yourselves. you know what else is like that? Mii's to a lesser extent. also Spore creations. my friends Spore creatures show up in my galaxy and dynamically populate it.

biggest difference i see was how bright and maybe "washed out" the ps3 looked. it made it hard to compare. texture quality looked the same. nothing compared to the pc version.
