I've only had a brief amount of time with Blue Dragon but what I did play, I really didn't enjoy. I couldn't put my finger on it but there was just something off putting about the whole thing. Again, I didn't get very far so it may have just been a poor beginning.
I haven't played Enchanted Arm at all so I can't say yes or no, but from what I hear its a decent game, but not great. I've also heard that its fairly easy as well as very linear.
Personally, I would stay the HELL away from Eternal Sonata. It got good reviews (for some reason) but the characters are terrible, it has a poorly executed story, minimal enemy types that result in monotonous, boring battles, and throughout the game you basically get bludgeoned over the head with the writers' opinions of 'morals and ethics.' It feels more like a bad commentary on how crappy the world is rather than an actual video game. The amazing songs and good graphics can't save it from its flaws. I genuinely regret buying it and wouldn't even recommed renting it or even borrowing it from a friend for free.
The only one I can wholeheartedly recommend is Lost Odyssey, which I'm right in the middle of and loving. The characters are actually well acted and written, and so is the story. The only real downside for Lost Odyssey that I can see is that some people might be turned off by the dream sequences, which are purely text. Yes, you can skip them but they contain moments of Kaim's life and background that really develop him as a character and I would think you would miss out on a whole lot by doing so. So yeah, Lost Odyssey is a definite if you have the money, and from what I hear $20 for Enchanted Arm is probably a pretty good deal, though I haven't actually played it. I think Blue Dragon is something you really either love or hate so if you can, I would suggest trying the demo first. As for Eternal Sonata, avoid it like the plague.
