@quadknight: LOL.

So much blur.

Dino-womyn needs some help.

It's almost like she's near-sighted.

Consolites.

BS statements from the likes of you! Apparently you've never played the game obviously.

I was referring to the screenshots posted.

Are you denying that everything outside a 5m radius carries the trademark PS4 glaucoma blur?

And, no, I've not played the game. The setting/premise have 0 appeal for me; like most console titles.

"I got it guys, 'Robotic dinosaurs.'"

"GENIUS!"

The Dino-bots were the Transformers jumping the shark point in the 80s, imo.

Blur is added in photo mode, the game doesn't look like this when it runs.

The story and lore is actually quite cool, but why do research or even play the game when you can just blindly hate it like a dork!

What? The messaging on the Switch has been extremely clear. I don't know anyone that's confused about what it should be, neither have I read that anywhere before this post.

What a dumb post. You act as if GG are not under Sony's influence anymore.

I love how we take a tweet that starts with "I have heard" as absolute truth. No wonder that in a world like this we have a president Trump. Carry on folks.

Well, we saw Wii U footage at E3 and TGAs, and we saw Switch footage on Jimmy Fallon.

The Wii U footage features significant slowdowns, the Switch footage was sharper, completely smooth, with better draw distances.

Come on. Thats not validation. One can argue an earlier build of the game versus a more recent build. I thought there were actual hands on comparison of both games that lead to this conclusion.

The TGA and Jimmy Fallon showings were six days apart.

That still doesn't tell us anything about each of the builds. As Pedro said, the Wii U build could have been an older one.

But then again: If the Switch didn't provide a visual edge over the Wii U, I'd be disappointed.

See, the point is, when you can play all your Xbox exclusives on your laptop... what do you need the Xbox for then?

You guys are in the minority...lol

Everybody I know that has tried it has loved it. It's selling out everywhere.

In my opinion, it seems like it'll be a fad. Fun if you have the cash for VR, try out some games, mess around a bit, and then eventually go back to playing console games on the couch or sitting on that computer chair gaming on keyboard & mouse. I'm not really sold on the whole VR yet...but who knows, maybe in a year or two I might bite.

I think VR can exist next to traditional gaming, it's not going to replace it, and I really hope it's not a fad. The level of immersion is just something else, and some games (anything where you sit in a cockpit, really) are just perfect for it and I'd prefer to play these in VR. I hope you get the chance of checking it out some time soon, it really is awesome.

@n64dd: I already did. I checked with Gaf and others are having the same issues. The biggest problem is putting the camera in top of the TV. My issue is the TV is 70". I moved the camera to the bottom and the headset tracking is better, but the controllers are still iffy. Many other users and publications have experienced the same thing. It's the fact that the light ball/bar is all that is really used to track them.

Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty even have videos where they say it's "fine" but you can see batmans hands dancing all over the screen. I guess I am just sensitive to it because the Vive is so good at tracking. And Giant Bomb had another live stream today where they had all the same issues and then some. They had a very funny tracking issue in Driveclub where Jeff was sinking lower and lower in the car. At one point he couldn't see over the steering wheel so he had to lean left, outside of the car just to see where he was going. This was after all of the calibrations. Luckily I have never experienced anything like that.

After two days, still didn't have any of those issues.

PS VR is amazing and many of the launch games are actually quite good. Thumper in VR is an incredible experience and I could play Rigs all day if only I had the time. It really is such a drastic difference to conventional games, it's insane (despite the low resolution of the device). We need more VR. It really propels games to another level. I WANT MORE, DAMMIT!

Great, now instead of playing games on your Xbox games crisp HD screen you can play them in a much lower resolution for only 399 without any added value! Excellent post.
