Pretty self-explanatory; what do you think is your favorite game title? I don't mean the game itself, but what the game is called. It doesn't necessarily have to be "cool" either. Did the title affect your first impression? Any lasting impact it has on you? Did the title alone catch your eye and cause you to buy it? Or does it contribute to the game's theme or message? There's more to the game's title than you think.

Personally I think Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is a freaking awesome title because the words are completely opposite of each other. The word "dissonance" means a lack of musical harmony, whereas the word "harmony" itself can be defined as a pleasing sound made up of musical notes that are produced as a chord. Not only that, but the music in that game (while not my favorite from the series) contains many dissonant notes that wouldn't sound right when played by themselves, but actually contribute to the song's melody. There's probably more to it than that, but I haven't played the game much.

TL;DR - feel free to post on what your favorite game title(s) are and if you can, why you like the title.

Depends what you're talking about. Not sure if you're asking if Metal Gear is a bad series (or if it's overrated) or a has a bad representation of a stealth.

MGS1 was probably the best MGS story-wise. Like Resident Evil 1 it seemed like a normal infiltration but as you progressed through the game it wasn't just an infiltration. MGS1 wasn't just a stealth operation, just as how RE1 wasn't just about an investigation on Bravo team. It's plot twists and conspiracy that drive the Metal Gear games, and it works pretty darn well in most cases. But MGS2 and MGS4 started getting ridiculous stories that had to be explained through too many cutscenes and whatnot. MGS3 had the best of both worlds, though. To put it short, no, Metal Gear isn't a bad series.

As for the question if Metal Gear is a bad representation of stealth, yes. The first MGS pitted you against gene-enhanced "Genome" soldiers. The thing is that they sucked. They can't see outside of their blue cones and can only see and hear a few feet ahead (or around) of them rather than across the whole room like in the 2D ones. This issue has plagued nearly every Metal Gear to date. For the most part they don't function like they were intended to, but the harder difficulties mend this easily. Also, MGS4 had nearly removed stealth entirely, as it wasn't about infiltration anymore - more like sneaking around on the frontlines in a crossfire was what it was. Play MGS on a harder difficulty if you want more realism stealth-wise. Then again, wanting giant robots with nuclear weapons and a vampire in a stealth game to be called realistic is asking a bit too much...

TL; DR - You want a conspiracy and plot twist-driven story? Play MGS. If you're looking for an authentic stealth experience, you're better off looking elsewhere.

Mostly some Resident Evil 2 (Disc 2 CLAIRE) and Armored Core: Master of Arena at the moment.

PlayStation 2 - Ace Combat 4: Distant Thunder/Shattered Skies (Released '01 in Japan), Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, Ico, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Zone of the Enders, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. That's all I got. Most of these have been said already though, so... yeah.

Check out both of the Zone of the Enders titles. Also I recommend that you check out the series called Armored Core. Also consider getting Soul Calibur II, Midnight Club (any of them, though I'd recommend MC3), Ape Escape 3, Medal of Honor: Frontline, any Gran Turismo (preferrably GT3) and probably some Metal Gear Solid titles would be my suggestions.

And SERIOUSLY consider getting any of the Ace Combat titles. They are some of the best games I've ever played on the PS2. Start with AC4, then work your way onto 5 and then Zero.

EDIT: I also forgot the Sly Cooper series and Jak & Daxter.

Definitely a First Person Adventure game.

Yes, this has been posted before, I know, but seriously. It is.

It's got puzzle elements and environments that encourage exploration and backtracking. I mean, sure shooters such as Medal of Honor: European Assault had wide, expansive environments and all that but it's pretty easy to tell that it's an FPS and not an FPA.

I think Nintendy should ditch the Wind Waker HD and focus on new things they can make. I mean, look at the Sonic series. SEGA's redeemed themselves a bit, but that's only because they chose to follow the "nostalgia" marketing path. Now that they've had some success with some flashback attempts such as Generations, they're probably never going to come up with new stuff anymore.

In Zelda's case, they should always be focusing on what they can build on from the previous game. I don't see how a new Wind Waker will change anything, and the one on the GameCube is still fun to play, even today. Like the developers said, Zelda titles will continue to be made until they can top one that is better and more revolutionary than how Ocarina of Time was for its generation.

I like the idea of adding in the features similar to the official GameSpot video game reviews, like "The Good/The Bad", Merits/Demerits, the ability to link your review with a video review (if available).

Some others may have come up with those ideas as well.

Like @ps3gameplayer said, the ideas of being able to insert images and being able to comment on other peoples' reviews sound like great ideas. However I think the idea of being able to insert links to other reviews could work out - though I'm not sure on that one.

I also missed the feature of being able to rate certain categories as numbers, to give a little bit of flexibility on how the final score can be made. I remember when I used to read reviews a while back I was able to see ratings for things like Gameplay, Sound, Graphics, Controls, Story, etc. - I liked that feature - it gives the review a bigger scope on the depth of the game.

Well those are some of my opinions on the User Review features. I'll post more later when I can think of more ways to improve it.
