See, that's what I'm talking about. I think they were smart to stick with text because I read faster than they talk anyways. I don't think it slows down the cut scenes at all, since in games where they have voice and text I finish reading before they are done talking so I skip it and it just gets annoying after awhile to hear them say something halfway through.
Well, I don't know, maybe SOME voice acting would be nice, but I just don't see text dialogue being a fault of the game. I'm so used to it, I just think voice acting might ruin the game's presentation (for example, bad voice acting which is very common). Not sure about the whole Japanese voices, but I've never seen it before so maybe that would work.
I would just like to say, since I just read the Joystiq.com article, that I'm not "attacking" Jeff. He's been a pretty good reviewer thus far and I have basically agreed with him utnil now. I just think that he has made some points that many don't agree with, including myself, but in the end he still said it was a good game, so I'm fine.
I also have one thing to add that may not have hurt the review much, but Jeff complains about the text dialogue in the game. Come on! All Zelda games up until now have used text and it just wouldn't feel right if this one didn't do the same. I don't mind the text at all. Maybe Jeff doesn't like reading, who knows.
