Okay, I've watched a shitload of video game trailers just now, and I've got say, there are a more great games coming out in the near future than I think we've had in a long time. Between Holiday 2014 and Holiday 2015, we've got the following:

  • MGS: Phantom Pain
  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Shadow of Mordor
  • The Witcher III
  • DA: Inquisition
  • Alien: Isolation
  • Far Cry 4
  • Assassin's Creed Unity
  • Assassin's Creed RED
  • Mass Effect Something
  • Borderlands Pre-Sequel
  • Tales from Borderlands
  • Evil Within
  • The Division
  • The Crew
  • GTA V (PC)
  • Mad Max
  • Dead Island 2
  • Tons of great indies...

And that's just stuff coming to PC that I myself am excited for. There's still Evolve, Civilization Beyond Earth, Sims 4, WoW expansion, and a few other big ones, along with some great console exclusives like Bloodborne, 1866, and Halo 5. We have some great holidays coming up, my dudes.

Rogue, Renegade... same difference. At least I didn't call it Rouge immediately before and after correcting someone else. :P

Assassin's Creed: RED - GOTTA KILL 'EM ALL!!! (That actually sounds like an appropriate title)

Anyway, I've been replaying ACIII recently, and while the first several hours were dreadful to get through, it's clear to me why I enjoyed playing as Connor so much the first time around. Scrambling through the trees to lay waste to red coats is just so satisfying, I could do it for hours on end (well, I have). And honestly, at this point, I give such a tiny shit for AC's overarching plot that I just want each game's isolated assassin story to be coherent and enjoyable, and in that regard, Shay Patrick Cormac's tale shows the most promise by far.

Man, I am only really interested in one game off that list. FarCry 4. -_-

AC maybe, Borderlands maybe.. I think I'm just discounting that Borderlands because it isn't made by Gearbox, though I'm sure 2K has some wonderfully talented internal dev teams.

Everything they've shown for it looks just as good as any other Borderlands game so I'm sure it'll deliver. Far Cry 4 is easily my most hyped game of the group, followed close by AC: Unity. Long as those 2 games deliver I can be let down by other games and not feel as bad :P

I'm just pumped for more AC. I've never realized it before, but it's become clear to me that AC is my second favorite game series after MGS. Despite the story that spiraled into stupidity and the plethora of frustrating missions, it's the one series I keep going back to. That said, I'm super bummed that Renegade isn't coming straight to PC, because I'm much more excited for it than Unity. The premise is just what I've been looking for (too bad they didn't think of something like that when they created Aiden Pierce, the crime-fighting criminal).

Note to self: Do not Fulton recruits beneath enemy chopper.

______

Yeah, that looks so great. And Konami just saved me like $400.

Kojima's too heavily involved with Konami to leave with fox engine and so on. Has there been anything to say he'll be actually heavily involved? His name was on that Castlevania game but he apparently had no real involvement. I find it hard to say Konami's stifling him when you look at what we've seen of MGS V so far.

He's been saying he'd move away from MGS since 3 and has showed off a few concepts for other games. Yet all he's done is more MGS. Either he flakes out on his new projects or Konami pushes him back to MGS. Who knows? As long as they're throwing loads of money at him and his projects, I'll play whatever has his name on it. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure he was credited as an "advisor" in Castlevania. For Silent Hills, it looks like he and Del Torro are co-directing (which makes sense, because one knows how to make great video games, the other knows how to make great horror, and they're damn geniuses at cinematics).

That new Silent Hill by Kojima and Del Toro starring Norman Reedus sounds amazing though.

*Silent Hills. And yeah, that is all kinds of amazing. I don't want to imagine the sort of psychological damage those two masterminds could do to me. Kojima is twisted enough, but Del Torro is a goddamn nightmare factory. Makes me feel bad for Kojima, though. Dude's been trying to break away from Metal Gear for years now to make his own horror game and Konami has him make a Silent Hill game instead. As if a Kojima game wouldn't get enough attention by any other name... Hopefully it was his decision and he wasn't forced to do it...

He needs to leave Konami.

I actually agree. He could have publishers lining up to fund him, no matter what he wanted to make.
