If you dudes haven't tried Deadbolt yet, give it a go. It's like a side-view Hotline Miami (in gameplay only) where you have to take a bunch of dudes out and die in a single hit. I'm stuck on the 4th level after several tries. So worth it.

Mass Effect: Andromeda looks like it should have been called Mass Effect: Inquisition.

It has the same vibe. I just hope there's more to it than all the shitty fetch quest and discovery bullshit that plagued Inquisition.

Also, I'm glad I went ahead and got a regular ol' PS4 on the cheap. The Pro doesn't sound like it'll be enough of a leap to warrant the extra $100 without a proper 4k TV. Kinda lame that it doesn't have a 4k bluray player, too.

@MethodManFTW: I know what you mean, man. I'm mostly just in it for the gameplay. I don't even care if it has a story at this point. But honestly, MGSV already felt so disconnected from the rest of the series, a game with little to no association seems more like a natural evolution than a stark contrast.

Haven't seen Suicide Squad yet, but that song "Heathens" and the Action Bronson song are both wracking up playtime on my Spotify.

@LightR: Definitely a worry of mine, as well.

Dude... wtf? Konami just announced the next metal gear game, Metal Gear Survive. It looks like a co-op zombie game.

Edit: Okay, so it IS a co-o zombie game of sorts. However, it will apparently have stealth gameplay, will possibly have a single player mode, will be a companion piece to TPP like GZ was, takes place in an alternate timeline (as not to interfere with canon), and will cost less than $60. Plus, there's bows.

I'm cool with this.

What up? Think I'm finally gonna grab a PS4 this year. The kids want one and there's finally enough exclusive/next-gen-only stuff coming up to warrant the purchase. How critical is having a big HDD? Does it install the whole effing game like Xbone does (I hate that)?

Ah. Well, that I'm pretty sure that won't work. Not all cutscenes are triggered by specific missions. Some are only triggered by the yellow side-ops, which aren't replayable. If you just want to see the cutscenes again, you mightbe better off with Youtube. There is even a letsplay edited to make the whole thing play out more like a movie: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fvqeEYEtXAk

There's no way to play only the yellow missions. At certain points you run out of yellow missions and have to play some white missions or yellow side-ops to get new yellow missions and continue the story, but those yellow side-ops won't always pop up if there are too many side-ops already on the map. So, you have to do a fair deal of plain ol' side-ops to keep the story coming. As for cutscenes, I can't think of any you'd miss if you did the bare minimum to progress through the story as long as you also max out your bond with Quiet. However, you would miss out on some cool gear and cassette tapes (like the ones you get as a result of extracting all the wandering MSF soldiers).

@MethodManFTW: He and Javik give the most insight in each mission. On Earth especially, James has a lot to say.

I didn't want to buy the whole lot of DLCs when I replayed on the 360, so I did a lot of googling to see which ones people liked best. In the Bioware forums it was almost unanimously Citadel and Omega. Everywhere else, it was anything but, due to the same reasons you describe: Omega is boring and Citadel is nothing but fan service. So, those were the two I ignored. lol

Yeah, man. I regret nothing. Those games still play like new. And like MGSV, I enjoyed the big finale a lot more with my expectations already deflated to hell. Extended cut + Leviathan makes it so much more palatable. It also helps that playing on insanity makes all three games, like, 1000x more fun. I'm going to give it another couple of years and try another class. Doubt anything will top Infiltrator for me, though.
