Hey, dudes. School is super busy now. I barely have time to eat anymore. Just wanted to drop in and say 'hello.' Good luck with that storm, CJ.

i've replayed the mgs hd collection and tbh, hayter just adds the cheese and camp to a game that might take itself too seriously

in line with its darker tones, keifer is just spot on as snake. love him.

Hayter adds a single slice of cheese to a massive stack that was there long before he recorded a single line. If anything, Hayter seems to take himself too seriously as Snake, which is part of why he seems so cheesy. Keifer would sound cheesy too if he delivered serious lines in a cheesefest like previous MGS games. In fact, that's one reason his voice is so jarring for me so far. I know he's serious, but I can't take anything in MGS seriously. It'd be like an episode of Spongebob Squarepants that addresses domestic violence and sex trafficking - it just doesn't fit. I guess I have to start taking MGS seriously to get a feel for Keifer. But an MGS without cheese is like an MGS without David Hay-- oh, damn... :'(

The Ground Zeroes port is amazingly well done. Maxed out and smooth as butter. Even in new territory (PC) Hideo won't let his baby be half-assed. Still not feeling Keifer, though. He gets too high pitched.

Oh, and the gameplay is just stellar, of course. I shot an exploding barrel, hid in a bush, and waited until the last two guards traveled from the other side of camp to investigate. Done and done.

Ground Zeroes is on Steam for $13. Supposedly it's an amazing port. I'll find out for myself as soon as it's done downloading (so excited!).

I think I'm more bummed that Keifer sounds nothing like Richard Doyle than the fact that he sounds nothing like David Hayter. People keep using the tired excuse that Kojima is trying to make BB sound older or different from SS. If that was the case, they should have used Doyle. He is BB's old man voice. Keifer actually sounds younger, imo. It's weird.

Oh, shit, did I bring that up again? My bad. :P

Ur da wurst.

What I meant was, if he's supposed to sound like an older Big Boss, he should sound more like Richard Doyle, THE older Big Boss. I would still much prefer my beloved Hayter.

@CJ: I think Kojima is simply expanding his vision of movies and games becoming one by including an actual Hollywood star. Even Keifer was romanticizing about it in the video I posted. :P

So amazing... This will probably be the PVP game that finally wins me over (unless I suck ass at it, like I did in the original MGO).

Valkyria Chronicles hit #1 on Steam. Sega is paying attention now. Bayonetta on PC, maybe?

FXIII and FXIII-2 have also made it to PC. Keep it up, Japan. We need this.

AC Unity is in the middle of a trainwreck. Poor thing. I actually skipped launch, thankfully.

I can't believe it's already time for Fall releases. All my money is going to 3DSs and Wii-Us. Boo.

Also, yay, my posts are sticking. This is awesome. \o/

welcome back then! :P

ACU is fine for me technically, just feels like SUCH a rehash of AC2... Arno even looks a ton like Ezio.

Yeah, I just finished checking it out. I got the AC2 vibe as soon as adult Amo came onto the screen. He's cool, though. I have to say, despite all the negativity surrounding this game (for some good reasons, mind you) I'm a bit blown away by it so far. I'm playing on medium settings, and it still looks absolutely amazing. This the closest thing I've seen to photorealism in any game I'm capable of running. The facial animations, lighting, object density, and overall attention to detail throughout the world deserve some kind of reward. Why does Ubisoft keep pissing people off and overshadowing the amazing work their studios actually do? Also, the combat is so good. I love that they overhauled the block-block-execute mechanics. I could take on 20 guards like a ninja Superman in the other games. In this one, got my ass handed to me when I tried to take on 4! Love it.

Yeah I do prefer the changes they made to combat.. Chain kills were fun, but just soooooo op. It feels so weird to me that everyone is speaking english though.. Dunno why it kinda bothers me now and it didn't for any of the AC2 games.. Might switch over to french + subtitles. You getting Far Cry 4 on PC? Can't wait to jump into that.

Also, re: photorealism in games, advanced warfare dude. insane how photorealistic that game is in spots.

The new Modern Warfare? I'll have to check that out. For Kevin Spacey, if nothing else. And yes, I'm def getting FC4 on PC. Can't wait.
