That is a set of Component cables. They are used on HDTV's to display 720p and 1080i (in some cases, even 1080p).

i would think the outlets on the standard tv would be the same for the ones on the hd tv, do hd tv's have a fatter outlet to put the cables into? cuz this was the only reason it didnt fit in my standard.

and whats up with the colours? they are unusual.

This is somthing that i had for a while, and never got around to finding out what it was, so id like some information, i tried plugging it in to my standard tv, but it wouldn't fit, so i think its some hd thing. The colours are kind of odd too. So i just want to be informed on what it is, and what to do with it, and what it works with.

I thought it would be cool if i made a thread where everybody could post there christmas gifts they got, electronic related gifts of course.
