Current Song: A Summer Song by Chad & Jeremy

Well as you know Avatar is coming to a end. Probably by the time you read this you would have seen it. Anyway, I been kicking it at the Avatar Refuge. Its pretty fun over there. Also work sucks, but you know that by now.

Anyway how has everyone been? How are you holding up after the ending? I am probably going to be somewhat sad. But eh, at least Viacom gave the show a chance. Also maybe someone can probe Mike and Bryan at CC in a few days about a expanded universe.

Anyway, I haven't got much to say right now.

21 now

Current Song: Shot In The Dark - Ozzy Osbourne

So I am 21 now, now what? Well I guess I can now legal drink, but that never was my thing.

So really the main plus is gambling legally. Anyway, life has been alright lately. I've been filling in for someone injured on the job, so I've been working a long shift. But I think I will be having some more time off soon.

In other news Pooldude has been retired. Yes, we know its nothing new, its just a waste of time. We have no need for ancient ways, the world is doing fine.

Watching the Wheels.

Current Song: Watching The Wheels-John Lennon

Well how is it going everyone? I am still alive as you can see, just been ÜBER busy with work as some of you may know. Anyway, how has everyone been? Things have been going alright around here. I see that I am now a Ginsu Knife rank, and with any luck in a few days or so I will be level 16. For the most part the reason why I haven't been around the board is well work, as said above, and well I've been swampedcl with games. Between the Crysis beta/demo, Frontlines: Fuel of War beta, Guitar Hero III, The Eye of Judgment, a bunch of back logged N 64 games I've been needing to re-play, and that Nintendo DS with Pokémon Diamond I found on the way home from work (I found it at the bus stop on this grass mound I guess it fell out of someones bag) has been keeping me busy.

But I am enjoying myself though, and with more games coming out this month I should have a full plate until mid December.

Now I guess for some of my thoughts on Avatar. So far season 3 has been pretty good. Although some episodes I think are kind of lacking "The Painted Lady" or have lacking parts, I think this season is doing pretty good. Rather then focusing on the friendship of the group "Season 2 I guess" or the physical growth "season 1 parts of 2." this season seems to be heavy on the emotional, and metal health of the characters. A lot of skeletons are coming out of the closet it seems like for the characters, and I think this will lead to a breakdown of a few characters down the road.

But all in all though, as said I think it is shipping up to be a pretty good season. Also I am kind of happy that I am back on the top ten for the show in terms of submissions. I hope I can keep on moving up the chart.

I am not really sure what else I should say. This blog was more of a "I'm still alive" sort of thing, but I hope to be spending more time on the boards real soon.

Also who ever did this propaganda picture for Avatarspirit.com deserves a medal.

If I could find the large print of this I would so love that. In my eyes that picture should have won. It has a infallible, strong stoic Fire Nation soldier coming down on the sickly implike
Avatar. It reminds me three different nations during WW2. The imp like Avatar reminds me of Germany's propaganda, the red/stoic looking soldier reminds me of Soviet Union propaganda, and the whole Asian theme reminds me of the Japanese *type of propaganda. Back when they where running this contest, I remember wanting to do this, but since my artistic skills suck, I didn't. But the idea for my propaganda picture was pretty much like this. So who ever did this, major kudos to you man.

Current Song: Don't Dream Its Over-Crowded House

Well at long last, I am level 14. A Autobot, from the famous cartoon Transformers. I normally have a month or more between blogs, but I guess I will try to break the habit. Its been a long past few nights at work, 800+ items that need to be placed, but I have been holding up alright, still looking over my shoulder though. The Avatar forums seem to be slowing down after the great troll battle. I guess it will be something of a 8/5/07 Never Forget sort of thing, but I guess it is forgotten already. Then again I missed it since I was out/sleeping when it happened.
Anyway, I went out, and got a HD TV a few days ago. I think its pretty boss, it's a 26 inch Samsung, and I enjoy watching things in HD now over SDTV. Also games in HD are pretty cool. Now when I convert it into my computer monitor it will be really boss.

The floor of the room is trashed, but that is another story in its self.

Not a whole lot is really going on right now for me other then listening to some 80's music, and working, with some Avatar forum posting here and there. But all in all I feel pretty good.
I've been enjoying reading the book "What If?: Eminent Historians Imagine What Might Have Been" It includes the complete text of What If? and What If? 2 at a hefty 827 pages. But it has been a great read on what could have been, since I am a fan of alternate histories, and history in general. On top of that I am reading The Book of Five Rings again it's a pretty interesting book written by the samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi circa 1645. I am currently on The Fire Book part of it. It's a pretty interesting book if you ever wanted to know samurai's, or old fighting moves.

Anyway, I guess that is it for right now.

Madness.

Current Song: Band On The Run-Paul McCartney & Wings.

Well its been over a month since my last post. So I might as well make another one since something somewhat major happened tonight.

Anyway, the store I was working at got robbed tonight. That is the reason why I am here right now. Two armed men came in, and did the usual routine of cussing out the clerks, waving guns around, and demanding cash, and treating to shoot said clerks. I at the time was in the back loading up some boxes, so I didn't see/hear anything. But after the cops arrived, and interviewed us we where told by management we could go home. So we went home. I guess it wasn't too bad since the load wasn't big, so the day crew should do alright. But **** I knew this was coming. Armed robberies have been happening all over the area for the past month. So I knew it was a matter of time. Luckily no one was hurt during the event. But since our surveillance equipment sucks, and so do the local police in my city, I am sure the robbers will get away. I guess it is just a fact I got to deal with when it comes to working nights though. That this can, and does happen. But I am really grateful no one was hurt in the event. Although I am given to option of not coming into work tomorrow, I will regardless since I want to work, and get paid for working.
Anyway, enough of that for now.

Onto other events.
A local gaming store was having a give away for a PS3. Basically a raffle, you buy a ticket for $1 and you can win a PS3. Well I ended up winning, and now I have a PS3 along with a Wii. If anyone out there has a PS3 my PSN name is Miroku_nite. Drop me a message if you want.
All in all I am enjoying the system. The Darkness, and Resistance are pretty fun games.

In some other events I am sorry if I haven't been posting comments in your blogs, I've been busy really busy with work, much of the downtime I get I spend keeping up to date on the boards. So again I am sorry if I haven't been posting much in your blogs.

Now onto some Avatar news.
As you know by now we have tons of S3 info. From the looks of it, S3 looks very epic. I personally cannot wait for S3 to come out. I just wished someone nabbed a direct feed from the show to put up on the net though. Anyway, the Avatar forums are buzzing with activity due to the event. This should probably be some very interesting times coming up.

Anyway, that is all I feel like saying right now. Other then World In Conflict is probably one of the best RTS I have ever played, Guitar Hero Rock's The 80's is major fun, and the PS3 is not bad.

Current Song: Hey- Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives

Well its about time for a new blog I think. Lets see where to begin? I mean my last blog was over a month ago...Well I guess I will start off with what is going on at my work.

I got promoted! So I am no longer a night facer but now a Night Stalker(Stocker)

But it is a lateral promotion...
Meaning I have to do more things, but I get the same pay as before. Talk about a jip. The job usually consist of placing heavy boxes full of stuff on carts off pallets stacked about 9 feet tall. Then placing said carts around the store, then taking the boxes off the carts, and cutting them open, and placing the contents on the shelf. Pretty brainless stuff really.
The hours are I guess a little better. I now go in at 11:00 am. But when I talk to the people at work the outlook is bleak... I mean everyone who has been on night crew has been on night crew for at least 6 years. The longest being 30 years.

I don't think I could take 30 years of that crap.

Anyway I see school is winding down for a lot of people, both people at work, and people on the forums. All I guess I could say is Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it. Yeah, I know that is stolen from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. But really it is pretty true. I use to complain about school, but then one day I woke up and found out the thing I been doing for many years was over. The feeling I got was kind of like turning on the shower in the morning, and getting hit with a blast of cold water. Those days, the happiest days of our lives are over. Sure there will be many great times in the future. But once you leave high school the real world hits you pretty hard. Gone are the days of pure routine, and worrying about test that really don't matter in the long term. I mean sure there is also college to look forward to for many people, and yeah I guess it could be great, but from what I hear it is not the same.

Anyway the summer is coming around for me also. Except it means I will be working. Yeah, I talked about in past post about joining the Air Force, but my current schedule is keeping me from training. So I guess joining for me has been postponed... again.
Sometimes I just wonder about myself....

I haven't really been posting on the forums all that much due to my job hours, and everything. But I guess I will make time somewhere.

Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate. (Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.)

Current Song: Heavy Duty/Stonehenge- Spinal Tap.

So I figure it is time for a new blog. Anyway my store hired five new people. Meaning I finally got some seniority! Anyway I was tasked on showing a few of the new people how to face the store. (since a few of them are going to be doing that when I am off work.) After I got done showing them how to face the store I said to them "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here."
After witch I got "What does that mean?" and I said "You'll see in about a week."

They have no idea what is going to happen to them....

For those who don't know what facing is, it is the task of turning stuff around in the store, and pulling things forward. In other words a monotonous job, that has you clawing on the floor, and picking up ice cream, and raw chickens people left behind canned goods for god knows what reason. The big kicker is you have to be at work at 1:00 . As in 1:00 AM in the morning. So needless to say the shift sucks... badly. You end up getting into a rut where all you do is work, and sleep. On your days off you sleep since you are so tired. So you have little time to do anything.

Anyway enough about work. I see my profile has off 1000 views. So who ever was viewer 1000 congrats.

Anyway I am going to try to enjoy my day off today. Maybe do some bike riding or something. Then again I think I will end up playing Punch Out on the Wii Virtual Console.(Glad they finally have that game for download.)

Glitches, Work, and Civil War.

by on

Current Song: Summer Breeze- Type O Negative

Well so far it has been a long week. Sorry I haven't replied to a lot of blogs recently. I've been getting strange glitches, where I haven't been able to post in blogs or really even post on the forum. I've had to resort to using Internet Explorer...ugh...I had that program... Anyway it seems like the glitches are coming to a end... or something. I am not really sure this site does have a lot of faults.

Anyway, last night was a hoot... It seems like my job is trying to make me quit or something, I mean I got "promoted" to work in the freezer last night. Since I did not have a jacket or gloves that meant I had to work in a -30 degree (or at least what the thermometer says) freezer exposed for a few hours. Needless to say I was pissed off after my shift.

Tomorrow, or well really the 3rd I will be participating in a American Civil War reenactment. I guess I will end up joining the Confederate side since they always seem undermanned, and out numbered 8 to 1. I guess it would be a great time to say a bunch of 300/Laconic phrases.

I think these quotes would work.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0416449/quotes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laconic_phrase

Anyway I am off to get ready for work.
