I thought FC3 was too easy and too forgiving, even on the hardest difficulty setting, especially in comparison to FC2
I just ended up doing missions using only regular arrows and takedowns for a challenge...
I just felt that FC2, despite the arduous journeys and long travel times, felt more desperate and much more immersive, where as FC3 got quite stale I found (After reaching 100% completion), with minimal replayability.
That being said, FC3 was one of the best campaigns I've played in a long time
Just my 2 cents

I'm with nvidia to the end. the gt300 is gonna be huge. no doubt the 5870 and stuff will have lower prices and stuff but nvidia are far ahead in terms of speed, maybe not so much pricing:P crysis2 is gonna eat every single card out there (especially my 8800gt,crysis2 will destroy it). these more powerful cards are good as games are just gonna get more and more demanding

For basics, I'd recommend a cheap dual core laptop as it'll do what you need, yet remain portable and consume alot less energy if you're trying to be REALLY cheap. If you do want to be able to upgrade the machine, then yeah you'll have to go with a desktop, in which case I'd just get a pre-built machine because it'll have a one year warranty, tech support, all the parts will properly interact with eachother. It's ready to go out of the box. While good PC parts from respectable manufacturers tend to have 2 or 3 year warranties, you might not be ready to deal with anguishes of OS and driver installation if you happen to get a part that doesn't want to cooperate. In your position, I'd get a pre-built, but I'm one to always build a machine myself.

Never buy a laptop unless you need it to be portable or have a tiny amount of space, they have sooo many downsides.

agreed, any pc from a major retailer would do, u can get dual core acers for a really cheap price anywhere really. I would personally custom build it but yeah, there's not much of a difference in how much u'll spend whether u go for either

Quad core laptops are just out and are a bit expensive, dual core is the way to go if u want longer battery life and something fast and cheaper

[QUOTE="Daytona_178"] Not enough to care about.Daytona_178

if i remember correctly Daytona you're still using a 8800GT like I am.... okay i just saw your sig and says 8800GT lol well sorry to be off topic here but many of us are waiting on new GPU gen to show up, 2uneek4u gtx260 should run fine make sure you update your drivers for best performance i can find myself playing about every maxed out running fine, except those poorly optimized games which run ok.

For everything else they run smooth as butter and your gtx260 is 2x more powerful over 8800GT while at time i do feel like upgrading i got to remember new cards are coming out and if i spend $300 now in a few months i will be kicking myself over what i would have had because it seems they are making some significant changes to make it worth the upgrade atleast they make it seem that way. lets all hope it was worth the wait just as the 8800GT was back in the day

Yeah, i completely agree. I feel no pressure at the moment to upgrade my graphics card at the moment.

I totally agree aswell, i'm only going to move on from my 8800gt when the dx11 cards are out (and not reaally expensive:P
