DS4 is my personal favorite.

XB1 .. haven't had enough time with to make full opinion on.

Switch - joycon's hd rumble is great, but I hate the 10 hour battery life, it's beyond crap

I don't have a pro controller for switch, I bought an 8bitdo adapter which lets me use my ds4 on switch, pc, ps classic, android, etc.. So If I do dock my switch I can control it with ds4.

@goldenelementxl: Funny how the best selling CoD was the one people were trying to cancel because it was not "historically accurate".

Wrong. That was battlefield 5 and you can see what happened to that in both downward sales and respect. it really was historically inaccurate in the campaign, replacing a whole regiment of Norwegian men with a woman and her daughter for "progressive" virtue signaling of the feminists journos and soy kin. Like two untrained civilians could do the same job of trained soldiers. COD ww2 didn't ham up the campaign, the multiplayer had women but it didn't distract like battlefield and they didn't allow all the Bullcrap 420 and neon colored fluff that infinitate and blops had. I personally loved Cod ww2, but still think waw was better. Battlefield V on the other hand

The problem with battlefield is they made the campaign historically inaccurate and promoted in the trailer stupid fortnite loot box and other things. They toned that back due to backlash or you would of seen neon colored mp40s with weed stickers and 420 logos. They kept the inacturate campaign though.

@jcrame10: Because free games every month. Batman Arkham knight and Darksiders 3 this month and last month sniper elite 4 and wipe out omega collection. Plus the money improves their servers. Those are reasons enough for plus.

As for 1st party games without multiplayer, good. Unless it's a strictly multiplayer game or a genre that usually has it, it's not needed. A game like Killzone, Resistance, MLB Gran Turismo or Socom without multiplayer I would be right there with you. A game like Uncharted, infamous , GOW, Tlou without it, ehh, not bothered. That means it better have a longer single player.

Plus Why should Sony be competing with 3rd party for that. 3rd party games got that covered. They don't need to compete with battlefield, cod, or those crappy kid/hipster infested f2p games like fortnite. Sony is cornering a market that isn't being served by MS. Their devs do this better than most and they are pushing that as a selling feature to hard core gamers, like myself.

My only complaint lately with them is their censorship bs , and I feel that comes from moving to authoritarian-sjw west coast instead of sticking headquarters in Traditional Japan.

EA still making need for speed? especially after failure payback was??

What was wrong with payback? I get the loot boxes sucked, but at least it wasn't always online or just night racing. Its the only NFS on this gen of consoles that has legit single player that doesn't require online connection and actually has a compelling world. The other two nfs games are selling for $5 for a reason. They will die and be useless once EA cuts the server. Now is it as good as most wanted? Hell no, that was my favorite (ironically made by criterion) I also liked NFS shift. Last gen did have way better nfs games, imo.

The most disappointing sequel was Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness (PS2). Total glitch fest.

Agreed. I had high hopes for the game but it was horrible. It had worse jumping mechanics then any of the old ps1 games. Horrible game. They could of done a lot with the setting, but it was wasted by bad gameplay, bugs and other issues.

@ghosts4ever: I didn't think it was a bad game, just a bit different, but at least it had the same character and similar aesthetic. Max Payne 3 had some haggard bald guy who didn't even look like max payne. It looked more like walt from breaking bad gained 100lbs and was in a Brazil or something. Hence I never played the 3rd one, it just seemed off from what I seen.

As for the other games. Deus EX IW was a disappointment but it did have a good engine for the time, it was just too small and constrained due to xbox OG hardware focus. Ironically theif3 used the same engine and did great (although again it had to split city into hub sections. Fear 2 I actually loved. I would love a remaster of those games (as well as dead space). Fear 2 had great atmosphere and different environments compared to the same blandness of the treatment plant/offices of fear 1. Although fear 1 had better physics.

Xbox One beats Vita! In your face @Ant_17

Hell froze over, you're not an idiot and the Bone beat the Vita.

WTF is going on????

The bone a mainline console beat a dead console that isn't being produced anymore... by a few units. The bone is selling under 200 units that's sad...but expected.

In Doom Eternal there is neither ADS nor reloading. a real FPS.

lol modern warfare. another generic FPS that focus on MP.

Any FPS is a real FPS.

FPS on thumbsticks, big yikes.

I only play cod on console now. Also will be playing this one most def as it is getting more realistic and pissing off journos...so that means instant buy. They felt "uncomfortable" at the demo and some asked to tone down as it was too real. People couldn't stand war.

Thumb sticks are fine btw you get used to them... oh whats up with this "Yikes" expression. When did this bandwagon start as I see it all the time online and it wasn't said a bit ago.

Nope, the games it plays my PC can already play better.

Then there are the downsides of streaming like artifacting and input latency.

Don't forget the always online connection required. Say goodbye to gaming when your internet goes out.
