Is it me or does this game suffer from frame drops, pop up animations and collision detecting? Other games with the same graphical flaws on consoles get punished in reviews (like Dead Island); yet this one not only suffers from buggered visuals but also a lame story and it receives 9.0? I mean i'll give credit where it's due, if the reviewer enjoyed this title regardless of those flaws then fine but the contradictions between "opinion" and punishing titles that are released "unfinished" needs to be a bit more consistent throughout the various reviewers. The review was great however; I just feel the game doesn't look very polished, the graphics look fantastic but I noticed weird collision & pop up issues (excuse my technical terms not sure what they are called). Was the footage from a PC, PS3 or 360?

@Giancarlo; I think you raise a great point but at the same time you are a little too paranoid about spoiling the content. I think the developers have taken so long making this game (over 2 years now) that they want to give their following and anyone interested (that hasn't played the games before) a quick look at some of the fine artistry going into making this game. Like a teaser to keep people from forgetting the franchise; i know it sounds stupid and I agree, I'd rather not know anything and let the mystery build up but see it from their perspective. Also; if you don't want to know anything then don't watch the spoilers; again, i know that's like impossible, but it didn't really bother me, i actually enjoyed those "heavy hitters" videos.

First of all, the DLC characters on SFxT we're given for free on the PS3 (Mega-Man/Cole/Pac-Man). Second, the reason why they include those characters on the disc with no access to them yet, is for online multi-player reasons. When one person has the character and the other doesn't, it causes issues selecting those characters during online games; for example in UMVC3 the costumes the other gamer did not have when playing online, would appear all in silver like Terminator T-1000. No big deal but it can be annoying. Now if they start asking for money for the remaining 8 or 9 DLC characters (like Blanca, Sakura etc) then we will have a real problem on our hands. Capcom has become a money hungry whore especially with the American market and they will make this rise of 2D fighting games in the last few years diminish once again (like in the early 2000's) so they need to make sure they listen to our complaints.

The reason why I didn't purchase a Vita yet is for two reasons. One, is to make them drop the price on memory cards and downloadable games; and two, is to show them that I will not allow anyone to bend me over a barrel unless that barrel has some sweet tasting booz in it. ;P

@rasputin177 how will everyone "recognize video games as art" when we act like raving lunatics when someone SUGGESTS including an option for people who are beginners to skip certain fighting elements in a game? I personally disagree with her but there should be more civil ways to argue that. Best way is like TankBusterJenn mentioned below: "don't buy their games any longer". That will be their lesson for trying to dumb down games and not listen to their customers. I never played any of the Dragon Age games and I don't care for them but i totally understand her point and I also respect people who are angered by her opinion. I just don't understand people that don't calmly and eloquently point out how stupid her idea is. Calling names just makes the developer NOT take those gamers seriously.

@Cell_kl I agree with you that the gamers are the ones supporting these companies but that does not give them the right to make nasty sexist remarks to someone who works for the company. People have every right to disagree with someone but that doesn't mean you have the right to call them names just because you buy the games. That's just ignorant and blatant bigot behavior.

Great article, great points, sad subject... It's sad that trolls have had the opportunity to offend someone who is involved with making the games they love. Her suggestion was made 6 years ago and it was just an opinion about adding an OPTION to skip battles; her suggestion just widens the demographic audience and expands on choices the gamer can have so if it's optional, then why care? My girlfriend for example loved playing "Eternal Darkness" on the Gamecube because she was mesmerized by the story but dreaded the battle sequences because she is not an experienced gamer and had trouble with the controls. So I had to sit there and wait for her to hand me the remote when battles commenced. I'm sure she would have loved to skip the battles and focus on the story and puzzle elements of the game but unfortunately she couldn't. Hepler is just thinking ahead of the curve here, she makes a great point to justify her opinion too: "Granted, many games would have very little left if you removed the combat, but for a game like Deus Ex or Bioware's RPGs, you could take out every shred of combat and still have an entertainment experience that rivals anything you'd see in the theater or on TV." well said girl! :)

@Jbul - You da man! Totally agree with you. I feel GS is milking the crap out of this subject, so much so the milk has gone bad. An example would be when GS tore the Vita a new one a couple of weeks ago and now have the audacity to make these kind of "counterpoint columns" saying "Is Handheld Gaming Doomed?". Pathetic... It's pathetic trying to make up for their bias column two weeks ago. Portable gaming is doomed because most people like playing dumbed down versions of games on an iOS device? Please..Just drop comparisons to crappy phone games... the best one i played was the Dead Space iOs version which lasted about 2 hours and killed my battery. Was it fun? Yes. Have I found another decent game like it in the past 2 years? Nope.

You can't compare iOS games to the Uncharted/Wipeout variety and I think someone CAN actually play Angry Birds with their phallus. Most people below agree, the PSV is meant for hardcore gamers that want the absolute highest quality games with the best graphics and game play innovation in the industry, in the palm of their hands. Not some multitasking device that will allow for great browsing and app purchases (and a 4g network phone that probably causes fetal growth on your cheek). I really appreciated Mark Walton's warnings about Sony's proprietary ways with the memory card/USB cable and the annoying UI. I've owned two PSP's in the past (the fat boy and slim one) and after losing the fat boy in an Airport in London, Heathrow and then selling the dust covered slim one, I know this Vita is not for me. I get lots of gaming hours at home with my PS3 and Wii so I'd rather read my beloved James Rollins books than play yet another Uncharted game on the train. (I completed all three so I’m a bit tired of them) But if you can't find the time to get your gaming on at home and can afford to dish out your hard earned cash to Sony's money hungry machine... then go for it.
