I didn't think Ghostbusters II was that bad. The villain was never going to be as cool as that Sumerian deity from the first, but it was still very entertaining and character driven. Plus, anybody who saw it when they were 8 years old and says that ghost version of Janosz didn't scare the crap out of them is lying.

Troll 2 has to be the most shameless abuse of a film title in history. The "original", although not much of a horror, was a reasonably fun slice of 80's cheese in the style of Gremlins. The "sequel" was an unrelated amateur horror about some killer goblins, which got its title thrust on it by some studio desperate for a quick buck. It gets a lot of undeserved publicity as being 'so bad, it's good'; but even the unintended entertainment value you'd expect (from its comical title if nothing else) just isn't there.

EA should shift support to Linux instead.Hexagon_777
Nevermind that. Port Mass Effect 3 to the Pioneer LaserActive. Killer app.

Here is a good and informative article

According to a disturbingly pleasant graphic fromInformation is Beautifulentitled simply 20thCentury Death, communism was the leading ideological cause of death between 1900 and 2000. The 94 million that perished in China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe easily (and tragically) trump the 28 million that died under fascist regimes during the same period.

During the century measured, more people died as a result of communism than from homicide (58 million) and genocide (30 million) put together. The combined death tolls of WWI (37 million) and WWII (66 million) exceed communisms total by only 9 million.

It gets worse when you look at the lower right of the chartThe Natural Worldwhich includes animals (7 million), natural disasters (24 million), and famine (101 million). Curiously, all of the worlds worst famines during the 20th century were in communist countries: China (twice!), the Soviet Union, and North Korea.

Communism is a killer. And yet some still say they support the idea: According to a 2011 Rasmussen poll, 11% of Americans think that communism would better serve this countrys needs than our current system.Laihendi

Deaths from laissez-faire capitalism - 0

Deaths from communism - 94,000,000

Communism is the most violent and destructive ideology in human history. I think it is clear which is the moral social system, and which is not.

If you want to reduce laissez-faire capitalism to an idealist utopia that exists only inside your mind and compare it to real world communist states, then two can play at that game. Deaths from stateless, classless societies that abolished private property = 0 Deaths from premature mortality in India 1945-1990 = 120,000,000

Yet it's in 3rd place in the Smartphone market already? Also there are other companies making Windows Phones, you rlack of windows phone knowledge is possibly because of misnformation. Also Windows 8 works well for Tablets you do realize that right? And phones? Hello?MicrosoftVP_Ted
It is in third place and will remain in third place at best. A giant corporation moving into the smartphone market and beating Blackberry OS at a time when keypads are on their deathbed is nothing extraordinary (especially when Blackberry OS is exclusive to proprietary devices and also a bit rubbish). There is simply no comparison to Android or iOS in terms of usability and content.

And where did I say it was exclusive to Nokia devices? I'm just saying Windows phones are tainted by their close association with a historically mediocre phone company (ask anybody who owned a Nokia before the smartphone revolution). I know you like cheerleading for Microsoft and that's great, but just accept the fact most human beings can't stand the Windows Metro UI and find it monstrous.

Nobody is going to want to touch Microsoft's products after enough people become familiar with the Windows 8 abomination and Windows RT is basically identical to Windows 8's Metro interface. The brand will quickly become toxic if they don't get their house in order.

Windows phones are horrible too. Is it any wonder they're Nokia's OS of choice for their flagship handsets?

Game consoles are still officially banned in China.

Yeah, shame about the whole authoritarian state thing. Apparently it was over some moral panic about the threat to productivity in China's youth. All the more ironic for the fact MMO's are perfectly legal there and popular. I'd like to think this wouldn't be forever.

a bigger and more connected overworld would definitely be great, but the notion that zelda's dungeons have no depth is still laughable

Shinobishyguy

Blatant straw man. Nobody is complaining about the dungeons themselves. It's everything else.

I understand some people's reservations about prosecuting hate speech, but if it's wrong to do so, then were the Nuremburg tribunal wrong to sentence Julius Streicher for participating in the Nazi persecution of jews by spreading anti-semitic propaganda? I think that's worth asking today in a time when the United States is endlessly at war in the Middle East bombing innocent muslims while Islamophobia is today's most fashionable form of racial bigotry.

I don't really care what stylistic direction the next game takes, as long as the design and controls are top notch, the experience is immersive and the story and characters reasonably good, which is the least anybody expects from a Zelda game where Skyward Sword pretty much failed to deliver on all counts.

Uhh, I'm lost. Isn't this actually kind of good for PC pubishers and developers? Do hermits even boast about being able pirate games now? Usually, that's something their opponents mention. Anyway, it's been possible on all three console platforms for ages, lol.
