I wish we could name the Moon Luna instead of its own classification.

Luna is a pretty name, too.

I understand political correctness has a tendency to rub people the wrong way. Still, examining and changing what things are called is a great way to influence future thought. "Earth" is a word of the same "DNA strand" of thought that says the Sun, planets, and sky revolve around us. Terra is a fine name for our planet. It's easy to pronounce and fits with the other planets' myth-grounded names.

Becoming an interplanetary civilization does seem like a good precedent to renaming our planet. But maybe such a "rebranding" would also be a good early step in that direction.

... whose most defining feature is water?

Liquid water and the water-associated biological systems are really what make Earth notable as a planet.

Now, "earth" does have symbolic meaning to human kind (soil being symbolic as the beginning and end of life). Yet, in light of modern knowledge it seems like a major FAIL that we named our planet after its most mundane feature. Earth can be found on any planet with a surface (all planets?), as well as most all asteroids. For the sake of the argument I won't mention all the cosmic dust and other "sub planet" matter.

Why not name this planet "Water"?

Why not name this planet "Gaia?"

Why not "Bluebert?" Bluebert may sound silly, but it's much more appropriate a name than "Earth."

EDIT: Sorry to see this board has become a bit dead. OT always had its "warts," but was still a great internet community.

Noticeable with 2D games especially is a blur effect that occurs when moving.

Personally I see this on my Samsung TV with or without their "auto motion plus" feature.

Obviously it's a small annoyance -- games look beautiful on a nice TV, regardless. Still I'm wondering if there's a good TV type / spec for eliminating this.

They have a ton of different things they could discuss, even just drawing from what's already been announced for the period: New 3DS, new waves amiibo, Majoras Mask 3DS, Mario Maker, DLC for Mario Kart 8 and Smash Wii U, Captain Toad amiibo integration, and Splatoon.

(Well the New 3DS hasn't technically announced, but it's almost certainly coming out soon.)

I remember when I started the big season 1 thread. It was pleasant to see all the fans the series had at that time.

Anyways the series is over now. I'd rank the seasons as follows: 3 > 4 > 1 > 2, with 4 and 1 being a close tie for second.

I really loved season 4, the finale included. I liked the choice to bring Korra's personal journey to the center again.

My only complaint is that the pacing was a bit off ... partially due to restricted time/resources, I'm sure.

Season 3 edges out 4 because it had a similar level of complexity, while the pacing created a stronger sense of momentum. Plus it was packed with great bending action.

.... versus someone who has a doctorate in respiratory therapy, or nursing (i.e. others similarly involved with health).... or even like psychology, or music education?

It seems that in spite the world's numerous "doctors," the medical profession has a monopoly on the title.

I feel like it's hard to say the "best." Other systems have a larger quantity of titles.

The Wii U is certainly Nintendo on their A-game, though. It's my personal favorite, also!!

I like it more than I did my Wii.

I bought it to play Nintendo's HD console games and ... Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, DK: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart * Smash Bros Wii U ... damn. These 5 games are Nintendo at their best and deliver hugely.

Even less lauded games like Nintendo Land and Mario Bros U provide great experiences.
