If you have never even played Half-Life 2 then Orange Box is tons of value - if you like that type of games.

Heck; I had played HL2 before, but I'd gladly pay full price for the Orange Box if it only consisted of Episode 1 and 2 . Portal and TF2 on top of that is an amazing bonus.

Best. Game. Deal. Ever. IMO

Face it XBOTS, everything you have so religiouslybashed (jealousy or not); all those "useless" non-gaming parts will be coming into your xbox360.

tekmojo

Well, at least we don't have to pay 200+ bucks extra for them when we don't want em ;)

Of course the obvious route to go when HD-DVD drives get close to DVD-drives in price is to include them in the console. Without adding noticably to the price. But doing it from day 1, making the price skyrocket is just stupid.

At least MS adds stuff to the 360 as time goes by. Sony only seem to be removing more and more from their newer versions of the PS3...

Well unless you can referr me to a good RPG, Tactical/strategy game, Action Adventure game, or Adventure game thats on the 360 exclusively then no it's no joke.

vitz3

Sorry, but you lost all credibility here (what's left after claiming the PS2 sold 40 million in it's first two years, that is). You obviously don't know a thing about the games available for the 360. You're just being ignorant and lying to get your skewed message across.

Xbox???how about XBox 360 oh yeah PDZ -.- if you count it as a good game :roll:loseittoo

  • Amped 3 (2K Sports)
  • Call of Duty 2 (Activision)
  • Condemned: Criminal Origins (SEGA)
  • FIFA 06: Road to FIFA World Cup (Electronic Arts)
  • GUN (Activision)
  • Kameo: Elements of Power (Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Perfect Dark Zero (Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Peter Jackson's King Kong: (Ubisoft)
  • Madden NFL 06 (Electronic Arts)
  • NBA Live 06 (Electronic Arts)
  • Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Electronic Arts)
  • Project Gotham Racing 3 (Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Quake 4 (Activision)
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06(Electronic Arts)
  • Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (Activision)

These were the 360 launch games. And several more great titles arrived during the first 3 months.

The 360's launch games alone are way better than whan the PS3 had on the market during its first 6 months. The PS3 has had a very bad first year when it comes to games. Worse than most consoles the last 10+ years.

Graphics: Slideshow framerates..

vitz3

And still lots of multiplats run slower on the PS3. In fact the majority of multiplats that appear on both the 360 and PS3 run worse on the PS3. Just read a review once in a while and you'll pick up this fact as well.

The ps2 sold 40 million units by year two.

Wil4hire

No it didn't. By March 2002 (it was launched in March 2000) Sony had *shipped* 28 million units. Which is of course very impressive, but still 12 million lower than what you claim had been *sold*.

Numbers here (from the horse's own mouth): http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/data/bizdataps2_e.html

...at least sony don't make new sku's with superior hardwarePaddy345

That's so true. Sony is going the other way - every single sku they release of the PS3 now is worse and lacks in features compared to the launch PS3 because they finally realized that the original PS3 (which is the one to have if you want good features) was too pricey.

That's a pretty weird way to do stuff IMO.

What happened to Blu-ray being built in not needed? But they're putting in HD-dvd now LOL.

naughtydog360

Neither blu-ray og HD-dvd is 'needed' on a console IMO. And so far it has led the PS3 to be far more expensive that it should.

But if MS throw it in there for 'free' when the prices on HD-DVD-drives drop that surely can't be bad thing for those that don't want to spend money on a separate player. Unless you're a Sony fanboy nitpicking of course.

Consumers only count the amount of games it had in its first year to what the other competition had in its first year.

Blackbond

You're way off. Consumers look at the games available for a console *right now*. Not what will be available in a year or two. People want fun stuff *now* not in 2009.

Releasing the 360 a year earlier was a very smart move in my opinion. The library of available games on both Wii and PS3 right now - and in the forseeable future - pales in comparision to the 360.

I have close to 800 online matches logged for Halo 3.

HaloRainbowPuke

Wow. And it took you that long to realize that you hate the game?

You're a wee bit slow on the uptake then I guess...

I had over 30 friends and not once did they or I use the video feature to show off our moves.

HaloRainbowPuke

What a strange bunch of gamers you are. Me and my friends use the replay functionality very often. It's pure genius.
