It's okay when Nintendo does it.

Someone might not want a PC, i don't, done with gaming rigs. Rather buy a slick laptop or imac.

You sound like a tool.

Came in for Tomato tears. Was not disappointed.

The console will probably be cancelled anyways. No need to fear.

Doubtful, Phil Spencer said it was in full steam ahead mode just a couple of weeks ago. Unless they transition the whole project into the next generation Xbox, we should see it happen.

Well I haven't done *that* yet, but I could. Not sure what that would really change

What's up GameSpot? I left the forums back before the change occurred so it's been a while.
Anyways, this community has always proven to be the most helpful in the past so I thought I'd ask here.

I just built a new workstation computer for my dad but I think the mobo is DOA.
Got everything hooked up and low and behold nothing would turn on. So my first thought was that it may be the case. So I pulled the cable for the power button and shorted the connection myself, still nothing.

So I then took out the power supply and ran it on its own (paperclip trick) and it appears to be fine, my volt meter also says it is putting out power.

So this leads me to believe it is the motherboard. Any thoughts before I deal with an RMA? I'm going to reconnect everything one more time just to be sure but I build computers quite often and I know it was wired correctly.

Specs:

AMD A-10 5800K
Gigabyte F2A88XM-D3H
G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4) DDR3 1600
PNY 120GB SSD / Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
Gigabyte Hercules X - 380W
Rosewill Redbone Case
LG Blu-ray Writer

New site is garbage, easily loads 4x slower. Took almost a full minute to log in.

This is the end for me.

[QUOTE="resuer"]Any comment on 12GB being enough? At this point, I'm not sure how often I'd play..Riverwolf007

the 12 gig is a joke.

you are going to spend all your time uninstalling and reinstalling games.

a ps3 with 12 gig will hold 2 games on it depending on the games and maybe not even 2.

gta 5 alone would take up 8 gig of it.

Yeah not mentioning the fact that its likely closer to 9GB with the way things work. My 80GB PS3 is about 73GB or so.

You could always go for it and get a harddrive later as I believe someone else was saying. PS3 = Upgradeable storage.
