ITS A PROBLEM this new product is not desinged to be in every household ITS DESINGED TO MAKE MONEY why do you think they are using blu ray??? for games? no for movie support so people will buy the expensive system to play expensive movies ! the cell for games??? no it is to put more money on the price tag why because its hard to develope for! so the devs will charge more for their games AND SONY MAKES MONEY!!!! so no, it will not be under 500 bucks or that company will go bankrupt within the decade

The higher the price, the less they sell, and the less they sell, the less money they make (from games). I'm betting $360 at launch. Sony has a way with releasing at lower than expected prices.
Whatever price they launch it at, it will be sold out for months and months.

hey are you dumb? the ps2 does not have 128 bit system, okay no counsle out there has 128 bit system get ur info right, 256 bit system is way to crazy. the ps3 is going to be 128 bit.
em, ps2 is a 128 bit system, but this way of measuring power hasn't really been relevant since the 16-32 bit era. It's pretty much polygons per second, or gflops now.
