As impressive as the graphics are in DX10, I hold one simple opinion: never buy an OS on launch. Remember XP's extensive patching and repatching during it's first months? I'd rather have a more stable platform before I stand on it. I'll be waiting a while before picking up Vista. My games run well still on XP.
