@luxuryheart: People just jumping on bandwagons. You can never predict what people are going to care about. For some reason, people decided to flock to Stellar Blade, even though it's not the "worst offender" of sexy female or even stands out in any way compared to other similar games. People are weird, and the devs of Stellar Blade are very lucky.

A cow calling Hellblade a movie game. lol
Do they even know what they play?
I think they'll go belly up before they make a Ninja Gaiden 4.... so I'll just take another Nioh game...maybe set it outside of Japan.
They already did with Wo Long. Maybe it's time they tried something else.
Depends on where you live. I'd much rather have fiber and always have a stable connection, no matter what the weather is, or what others do with their connection.
Will you be picking the game up on Xbox, pc or switch were it to release there?
Nope. Looks lame.
- Xbox CVP Kareem Choudhry is leaving Microsoft as of today.
Who?
- Choudhry worked on some of Microsoft's most cutting-edge gaming tech, from Xbox Cloud Gaming to its recent AI efforts.
Ah, ok. So he worked on boring shit no one cares about.
- Choudhry's exit precedes a wider Xbox leadership re-org, with some team members promoted, and new staff incoming.
- The wider leadership shake-up is designed to streamline processes and help Microsoft accelerate plans for growth for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox hardware, and beyond.
- Windows Central understands that Kareem's exit was amicable and coincidental, and not part of the wider re-org.
and then just some bullshit words.
Holy shit, that's a boring thread.
Why did it take so long? It's been out for 3 years and got 7 seasons. I'd say it's successful, even. Ew!
Don't expect improvement for the next BF game.
Allow me to give some context:
In 7 seasons BF2042 still has received less post launch content than even BF V or BF 1, though the latter is not a fair comparison as it had premium.
People had to wait 1 year on some occasions and 6 months on another for a single new map.
To give a comparison: imagine if Arrowhead games released 3 new weapons for Helldivers 2, then stopped bringing anything new for 6 months, where you're just supposed to grind... jpegs. And then comes back to give you a single new map, rinse repeat.
Don't be blindsighted by numbers, don't be blindsighted by "season 7 is PACKED full of new content"
It's all a lie. This entire live service was disappointing to die hard fans (most BF youtubers have since moved on to another game, several die hard Twitter fan accounts got closed during this disaster) as well as casual gamers alike.
Yeah, it might have got much less support than more successful BF games, but it's still successful it sounds like. Which sucks. Game should've bombed after a year, not after 3 years with 7 seasons.
My main gripe remains it’s too fast. BF1 was perfect (again post launch), bfV was on the line….2042 just became reflex based.
The series have slowly become more CoD since BF3. It's basically full blown CoD now.
LAN should be an option in every relevant game. I've had 1000 times more fun playing games in person, than I have over the Internet.
Would be cool and all, but there's like you and 5 others in the world who are willing to LAN still. I agree though, LAN is way more fun than online.
- GTA was better in 2D.
- Witcher 3 was boring.
- Zelda 1 and Metroid 1 sucked.
- The gaming industry overall is crap. Few good things here and there, but very sparse.
There's a new show, it's on sale, and it's free to play for a while. Even if the game is crap (which it is), a boost in players is not surprising. Hopefully they don't spend money.
