A lot of the good'n's are rather old. I would recommend Metroid: Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Super Mario Galaxy (I know you said no Mario, but this game tops my list), Monster Hunter: Tri, Rayman: Origins, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, and The Last Story (which is coming out).

its overwhelming how many shooting games there are. it feels like guns are a norm in games nowadays, not saying its bad, but what the hell. hope future games get more versatile. :0kevkyl
Yeah, I feel like it's a bad message for the video game industry. It only confirms what many people think of when they think of video games. That they are making kids more violent.

Some great places to look are in the game marketplace. I'll list a few that are E10 or E. Plants vs. Zombies Braid Trials Evolution Bastion Limbo (it's rated T, not because of guns, but because you can get your head chopped off in various ways) Quantum Conundrum Geometry Wars Sonic The Hedgehog Peggle There are also good retail games like the LEGO games and the Pixar games.

They did emphasize it wasn't the final product. I hope that the potential I'm seeing is real though!

I guess maybe because if you had one error you had to start all over again.

Great all-around games for a gamer going from Wii to Xbox 360: Cheap: $10 - $20 - Final Fantasy XIII - Assassin's Creed II - Bastion (downloaded) - Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 OR 5-7 - Portal (downloaded OR bought) - Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Cheapish: (around $30 - $40) - Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary I would recommend sticking to the cheap/cheapish games when you first get your console. I feel like it would be a lot more fun to have 2-4 cheap games then one new game, but the decision sticks with you.

Some improved 3D top-down games would be cool too: Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Fire Emblem, and Advance Wars

That would definitely be a great change, but I personally like the randomness of the game! Except blue shells and the bombs on shy guy beach :|
