Just in case you were wondering I am alive. It's been a crazy summer and i haven't been able to bolg a lot lately but I will pick it back up in a little while. Just letting you know in case you're wondering! Also, happy 4th of July!
Well, I knd of missed Thursday, so I guess it's Saturday blog. So like I said in my last blog, I was super excited for E3. However, I was a little dissappointed in Nintendo. Really no Smash Bros.? No Zelda? Sure we had some good announcements like Nintendoland, Pikmin 3, And Mario, I still wasn't sold by what I saw. So I think i'm going to wait 6 months to a year to see if we can get some Smash Bros. 4 announcements. Although I want to help Nintendo out with sales, I still wasn't sold. So moving on, I'm sure you're wondering what this "Sub-blog" is. Well, as I said in my first blog, i love to go to flea markets and yard sales and pick up some great games for cheap. So I think I'm going to start sharing my finds with you! This will be every Saturday. The games well be categorized in this order: Good, Bad, and Weird. So as you have probally guessed the good will be my best find of that week, weather it be a rare games or a game I took a chance on and really liked it. The bad will be if I got a game and played and was all out dissipointed. And weird will be a game I got that I thought would be somthing but it turned out being the oppisite. I'm not saying weired will be bad, it will just be unexpected. Also if I don't find anything one week I'll go back to a preavious week I haven't posted yet. So without further ado, I preasent The Good, The Bad, and The Weird!
The Good: So Friday I was at a yard sale and a guy was selling a bunch of PS1 games. He had Final Fantasy VII and IX. Unfortunately one of the the discs to VII was missing, but I picked up IX. I got it for 3 bucks. On Ebay it would have cost me $10-$15. Saved: $7-$12. No I'm not done. Today I was at a yard sale and I picked up a Gameboy Advance and three games. The games were Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Metroid Zero Mission, and Pokemon Leaf Green Version. but the best part was the price I got all of it for $4.00. That's right, $4.00! on this haul if i would have bought it on Ebay it would have cost me $40.00-$65.00. I save $36.00-$61.00.
The Bad: Fortunatly I was clean today! No bad pickups!
The Werid: So once I borrowed the game Mercenaries 2 on Xbox 360 from a friend. I enjoyed the game but never got to get 100% compleation. So I was browsing at the flea market and I come across it on Playstation 2. So I figure "What the heck? I had fun with I might as well get my own copy." So i bought it for $2. So I come home and play it and it is really different. The story and cutscenes are the same, but the missions, cars, combat, and everything else was completely different. I was prepared for pretty bad graphics, these looked like they came out of a PS1 game. The only explanation I have is that this some kind of leaked copy that had old ideas on it. I'm going to do more research to see if the PS2 copies are different from the others, but it was weird.
So which of these stories to you like best? Let me know in the comments!
Be sure to come back next Thursday and Saturday for new blogs!
With E3 only a few days away I thought I'd do a blog about why I'm excited for it my predictions ect. So you're wondering why I'm excited so I'll tell you. First because of the obvious reason, We get to see previews of new stuff! Which is good because what if you woke up one day and checked Gamespot and saw an article that said "Wii U came out this morning." And in the article it said: "Those of you who were at Wal-Mart at midnight this morning you probably saw the workers stocking the shelves with Wii U's. The Wii U is Nintendo's latest console that nobody knew about, that came out randomly and unexpectedly." See? Without previews we wouldn't know when things were coming out! Okay moving on. Another reason why I'm excited is because I expect Nintendo to come out and blow everyone away with the capabilities of the Wii U and new games. I expect to see Mario, Pikmin, Smash Bros, Zelda (hopefully), maybe Metroid, possibly Kirby, and a lot of (good) third party support. (In case you can't tell the "Hopefully" was meant for Zelda) Another reason is because I hope Nintendo will announce a lot of new, good games for the 3DS so I can finally get myself to buy one. One more thing. Hopefully at this E3 we can finally find out what Miyamoto's "Original project" for a game is. Well that's all I have, hope you forward to my next blog next Thursday!
