Nintendo made my head Explode!

When I read that Nintendo is releasing sequals to both Sin & Punishment (one of my all time favorite games) and Punch Out!! (one of the best fighters ever), I nearly fainted. They are also releasing a new Nintendo DS, called the DSi, and i'm totally getting it. I don't have a DS now, but because this has camera/photo/mp3 additions, it seems all worth it. These are the things that would have made Nintendo's E3 awesome. Oh well, at least Nintendo's horizon of game has gone from meh to awesome.

Wii Music (this'll totally make you interested in buying this)

So, yeah. The first 3, i'm buying. Wii Music however...no. In unrelated news, I watch the anime film Akira which was amazing.

Sin & Punishment 2

I shaved for the fist time...

I'm starting high school tomarrow, so I thought it would be a good idea to shave all my peach fuzz off of my face. I have done a few touch-ups before, but nothing like this. I didn't use any shaving cream or anything, just water. Overall, I think I did a very good job. My face is as smooth as a baby's bottom. I was feeling very good about myself until I took a closer look in the mirror, and say that there were alot of pimples around my mouth. No! I yelled as I tended to them.

My dad warned me in the past that once I shaved once, it's all going to grow back thicker, faster, and darker, and that I will have to be shaving my face all the time now. So while I think I look better (minus the pimples), and I feel better about myself, I am worred about what is to come in my life. Was it not a good idea after all?

Is there anything I should know that will help me?

My Giant Bomb Home

Well, i'm moving over to Giant Bomb, for the most part. I'll still post reviews and blog posts here, and get emblems every chance I get, but most of my time will be spent there. So i'm not totally leaving GS (it's great website), but here is a link to my GB homepage. Tell me your GB name, and i'll add you as a friend.

My The Dark Knight review and Watchmen Impressions

{Just so you know, this is Spoiler Free} Well, the past week has been great. I kept up with E3 coverage all through the first 4 days of the week, and was pleasantly surprised and excited by the games and features mentioned. Thursday, I rented Batman" Gotham Knight, watch it twice, once normal, once with commentary, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The art was great, and some scenes were very cool, but the pacing and design could have been a lot better. Overall, I give Batman: Gotham Knight a 7.9

What doesn't get a 7.9, however, is The Dark Knight, which I saw on the first day show (9:00) at my local theatre. The Dark Knight doesn't get a 7.9 for many reasons - the biggest of which, is because not only is it easily the best Batman movie, best Super-Hero film, but is in fact one of the greatest movies that I've ever seen. So, instead of a 7.9, I give it a 10. However, when pondering my score for TDK, I was thinking of giving it a 9.8 or a 9.9. Why not a 10 you ask? Well, for many stupid reasons. For one, I dislike Batman's rough voice. Another is that it dragged on a little for me when I was watching it. As you can tell these are horrendously stupid reasons for not giving TDK a solid, and perfect 10. Yes, Christian Bale probably could have chosen a better "Batman Voice", but that isn't the point. It's Bruce Wayne's voice. See, it's tough for him because he's playing a man, playing a voice. So in a twisted and confusing way, his weird, rough voice makes sense. Also, after finishing the film, I realized that it being long only made it better.

The acting was perfect, the action was brilliant, and the movie overall, was very cool and expertly made. The villain(s) were spot-on, especially Heath Ledger's Joker. Now, I'm not going to go into how great Joker was, but in short, he's the most interesting film character I've ever seen. Overall he couldn't have been better in any way. The Dark Knight is a film that defines films, and probably my favorite current movie of all time. I recommend it to anyone and everyone, and hope those who saw it enjoyed it, and those who haven't seen it enjoy it. The Dark Knight is awesome!

And if you need more reason to see it (as if I already haven't given you enough) the Watchmen trailer is before it. Yes, you can watch the trailer on YouTube right now, but it is amazing on a huge screen. The tone is a little different from the graphic novel, which kinda disappoints me considering the Watchmen is my favorite graphic novel, but the movie seems to be very entertaining and in the right hands. If there is one comic book movie that even has a chance of being as good or even better than TDK, it's Watchmen. But for now, The Dark Knight is second to none. So what are you thoughts?

300: The Sequel

After the success of 300, Zach Snyder and Frank Miller are making a follow-up film and graphic novel.

I would rather have them make a film adaptation of Hard Boiled or Ronin, but this is pretty cool becuase of the new graphic novel FM is making. I trust FM to make a compelling story, and these might be pretty cool considering 300 is one of my favorite action movies of all time.
