That's it. Next year I am hosting OTcars again and we are going to make this right.
Laihendi's forum posts
@Laihendi: Would you rather they suddenly became hypocritical and decided to stay?
No. Once the dust settles NeoGAF should come out of this a much better website.
No shit, no matter what happens it's going to come out of it a better website
Glad you agree with me!

Are you sure?
Yes. The dust hasn't settled yet.

GAF is probably going to get a thousand account suicides tonight.
Not sure what the point is, no one's going give a crap that lemming #987 posted something stupid before getting banned tonight.
Looks like it's posturing and virtue signalling mixed with classic neogaf-style mass hysteria.
@pinkanimal: its reputation has now been severely tarnished. There’s an explosion of resentment and anger on the web right now towards Gaf, much of it in the form of jubilant celebration. With the news about Amirox and now these long known accusations towards Malka finally coming to a head, I don’t think many people would be so eager to touch the domain name with a ten foot pole.
Just my opinion though, perhaps it can be saved. One thing I do hope is that the contents are archived and made available somewhere as there’s much to be salvaged.
As I undertand from reading about it, it already had a sort of shady reputation so I don't see how this could tarnish it considerably more. People who visited didn't probably care so much. But as with all these things whenever a vaccum appears there's something else that will fill it up.
And now that its shitty mods are gone there's a chance it could come out of this a much better forum. Feeling optimistic about this.
Just wanted people to know.
By the way, I am an admin at TDH.
Tipping is a bad price/payment scheme and it's unfortunate that it's a thing here. That said, I tip 20%.
You're underestimating his political skill and ability to convince people that they can relate to him. Most republicans hated Trump when he started running, and now he's fairly well liked among most of them. There's still a sizable group of republicans who dislike him, but they're a dwindling group. Once he has the GOP nomination taken care of we can expect him to start winning over support from moderates and white democrats. Also, we need to remember that Mitt Romney would have won in 2012 if the white vote turnout had been bigger. Donald Trump is good at exciting that demographic and is bringing in many thousands of them to his rallies, so if he can excite the base sufficiently then that will make up for latinos voting for the democrat.
And it's worth mentioning that Trump has been winning over black voters already despite not even really trying yet. Has a democrat ever been elected with less than 85% of the black vote? If Trump can get black people to vote for him then the democrats are in trouble.
Do you really think he stands a chance with any democrat group? Trump will be able to win among his niche. But, his far right authoritarian appeal will attract few anyone who falls outside tribalist views. After what Trump has said about black people (and retweeted), I seriously doubt he will ever win amongst them.
His best and only hope of winning the election is if Hillary Clinton wins the democratic side. That way he will be able to continue ripping on her for her corruption and heavy involvement with the banks.
Firstly I think it's worth pointing out that saying something and retweeting something are not the same thing. Trump retweeted debunked crime statistics, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he agreed with them. For whatever reason he thought that tweet was something to draw his followers' attention to.
And black people are already warming up to Trump, and it's not hard to understand why. Black people have historically faced a lot of discrimination in this society and have had to face all kinds of economic and social barriers that have kept them down. That is why poverty and crime rates are so high among black people, meanwhile Trump offers himself as an inspirational figure based on his success in real estate and business. Trump has been polling unusually well for a republican among black people, so all I'm saying is that the black vote is probably up in the air right now. Never mind the fact that black people have been here since before the country was founded, so they will not be as inclined to take offense at anti-immigration rhetoric.
