And one more thing...to be honest, I don't like JRPGs...mainly WRPGs. The type of rpg I like is like Darksiders 2, an open world rpg, with cool progression that keeps you going along with the looting system, there's side quests and plenty to explore, along with platforming and puzzle elements, and to top it off nice combat and a pretty good story.

First off, shoulda mentioned the games I already have...

Fallout 3:GOTY
Skyrim and Oblivion
SR2 and 3
RDR
CoD: MW1 and 2
Battlefield: 1 and 2
infamous
darksiders 2
sims 3 pets
nfs undercover
madden 11
nba live 10
ncaa football 10
brink
ufc undisputed 09
homefront
ac3

And second, I know it seems stupid doing all this "research" but I like to have a good feel about a game I buy before I buy it, and anyway, I'd like to get the best possible game for me, so I "research". About rushing...that's why I like open worlds. Honestly, I rush through most of my games...then spend a lot more time in the open world. Is there any game like Skyrim? Because and rpg that is open world is harder to find then what I thought...I've heard about Dark Souls, but it doesn't sound as much fun as Just Cause 2, J & D, or the others, plus it's open world but I heard there isn't a lot to do after you beat the game. The Sabotuer sounds pretty awesome. When I say open world game, I mean a) a game like gta/sr, etc. that you can go around and cause chaos in, b) a game like skyrim/fallout 3 that you have plenty of side quests and places to explore after the game. I mean...Infamous is open world, and it was fun playing it, but after the story...there really isn't much to do. This is a reason I want Just Cause 2, as it looks like it has exploration and chaos, along with room for tons of creative chaos, once again why I want RF: Guerrilla or Mercs 2.

Ya, just that I didn't get my PS3 'til a year ago, but I still have around 20 games. Plus these will be holding me over for a while since I want to start saving money, possibly for Orbis depending on how it ends up. Probably wait a year for them to work out the bugs anyway if I do want it...they'll probably "officially announce" it very soon (I heard March) and give an estimated release date (late 2013/early 2014), and I am looking at Watch Dogs. But still, I'd rather have 5 old games than 1 new game...

This is kinda continuing from my other thread, but not a lot...anyway, this is basically the list I've formed. I prefer open world and sandbox games because I don't have broadband, so I don't have PSN. Just Cause 2 (seems pretty awesome...) Jak and Daxter HD Collection (would've gotten Ratchet and Clank Collection, but it wasn't open world and it costs more...) Ezio Trilogy (I loved AC3, so I this seems like a really good deal) Dead Space (seems like a good scary game) Now, for last 1-2 games, I want some cheap games...like RF: Guerrilla/Armageddon, Mercenaries 2, and a few others like them. Out of those 3, which is the best? I know they're older, but they're only $5 so...it'll round out my birthday list (even though there'll most likely be some price drops by April...). Thanks for any help, and if you any suggestions/changes please list them!

The HD collection doesn't cost a lot, I'd say get it, but if you can't, you could wait...or get Jak and Daxter collection to see if you like it.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Saints Row 2 and 3, inFamous collection, Prototype 1 and 2, Batman: Arkham City, Ezio Trilogy and Assassin's Creed 3, Red Dead Redemption, Red Faction: Guerrilla and Armageddon, Mercenaries 2, Mafia 2, and for an older open world game, Jak and Daxter collection (Jak 2 and 3 are open world)

Sorry for writing so much in advance. Okay, so I've narrowed it down and thought about it, and looked at prices...hopefully some prices will drop, but if they don't, here's where I stand. Group 1: Ratchet and Clank collection vs. Jak and Daxter collection Group 2: Removed Group 3: Ezio Trilogy vs. Uncharted Dual Pack Group 4: Borderlands vs. Fallout: New Vegas Group 5: Batman: Arkham City vs. inFamous 2 Group 6: Bioshock vs. Dead Space Reasons: Group 1: J & D and R & C seem much better than Sly. Group 2: I didn't realize the prices of some games in this list, and I don't really need shooters. Group 3: Ico/SotC doesn't seem as good as others. Group 4: Farcry 2 doesn't seem as good as others. Group 5: Prototype is older and doesn't seem to have much of a story. Questions: Group 1: I've hear J & D: 2 & 3 are open world with a lot more to do after you finish the story (or at least you can go around stealing vehicles, fighting guards, etc) . Is Rachet and Clank like this? This will pretty much be the decide it; I'm not going to pay more for R & C if it has less content and less to do, even though the story, game play, and weapons look a lot better. Group 2: I have a budget of approx. $120 when my birthday comes. Adding a game from Group 2 will cost too much, plus the fact that shooters only last as long as their campaign. I'm also thinking of removing Group 4 or 5 depending on what other games I decide on or if I'd rather have 2 games from 1 group instead of one of the games from those groups. Group 3: I'm really leaning on Ezio Trilogy even though it's more expensive because a) more games b) more content c) open world d) I've already played Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. So please give me your opinions on this one especially. Group 4: I'm thinking a little about getting rid of this group...mainly because Borderlands is starting to seem more and more like it was built for multiplayer, and Fallout: New Vegas is seeming too close to being Fallout 3. I don't want a game that's very close to a game I already have unless it's a sequel, which I still hope would be different. So is Fallout: New Vegas distinct from Fallout 3 besides the story? Do the worlds look different, are there different guns, different armor, etc. Group 5: I'm also thinking about getting rid of this group, but not a lot, as inFamous 2 and Batman: Arkham City both seem like amazing games. Once again, which has more to do after the story and doesn't get boring fast. I know inFamous is open world, but there isn't a lot to do in it afterwards. Is inFamous 2 like this as well, or is there stuff do besides blast shards, dead drops, etc. Like side missions that actually impact the world or something like that...and what about Arkham City, is there stuff to do after it's story? Group 6: I'm really leaning towards Dead Space...seems scarier...very scary...but I'm still considering Bioshock. Okay, now if you think it would be better to get 2 games from one group then one game from another group, please tell me, and make any game suggestions you like! (but please try to stay around $20 per game) A few really cheap games I'm looking at are Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Red Faction: Armageddon and Red Faction: Guerrilla, F.E.A.R. 1 and maybe 2, Mafia 2, Alpha Protocol, Dragon Age: Origins, Little Big Planet, and possibly a transformer game. I would get these to fill in for a group I get rid of, or even getting rid of Group 2 I might have enough room to get a cheaper one like Mercs 2 or Alpha Protocol. Well, I think that's everything...so...please answer!

Okay, a few more things...will any of these game's prices drop or probably drop by late April? Also, I've heard Jak and Daxter is open world, is this also true for Rachet and Clank? Is MGS open world? What about the Orange Box?
