Early Christmas!

My parents are divorced, and I won't be seeing my dad after this weekend until january, so he decided to have christmas this weekend with me, my sister, my dad, my stepbrother and my stepmom, this is what I got:
Xbox 360: Halo ODST Edition :D

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Pheonix ps2 game

that's all, but I'm still getting from my moms family on christmas :D

Anyway, I've been gone a while so here's a short update on my life:

I asked this girl out and she said yes!!:D unfortuanatly she's leaving at the end of the year :( but I've decided I'm gonna be happy with the time we have together.

I finally landed a pop-shuvit, after 2 weeks of trying I did it yesterday.

I got new shoes!! I got Pink Floyd converse to wear with my skinnies

My new shoes!

I also heard slipknot for the first time, and I really like it.

My friends all think that slipknot is emo music, I'm not sure how that works.

yeah that's it, I'm going to be a lot less active on the forums from now

I told you all! and Windows 7? and goood place to find Icons for Gamespot?

I would like you all to refer to my Sep. 18 Blog post Where I said that Gordon Freeman would win and most of you (Except ClayMeow) and I would like to say one thing

i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so i told you so

And Now that thats out of my system, onto the real purpose of the blog:

Windows 7

I saw a Gamespot review for Windows 7, and all over the web actualy, and I just want to share what I thought when I saw the review:

Well, Laa-dee-frickin-da

My Step-brother and I have had Windows 7 for about 5 months now.

And it's legal, my dad owns a company that's partners with microsoft and he got a disc that has 100 installs of Windows 7.

And now onto the question part, where is a good place to download icons for gamespot?

As you can see, I tried to put a Girl Skateboards logo up but it doesn't fit, where's a good place to find one that does fit or if you can give me a link to one.

Thanks

MCR Review

Hey guys, back by popular demand - not really, it was one comment :P - here is the review for The Black Parade by MCR:

I'll try not to mention my bassline fetish :)

Track 1 - The End: This is a nice intro; it really sets the scene for the rest of the album.

"If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see, you can find out first-hand what it's like to be me"

Length 1:53

Rating 6/10

Track 2 – Dead!: This song is slightly different, I like the way the guitar at the end of track 1 carries over, and the solo-kinda thing at the beginning.

"And if your heart stops beating, I'll be here wondering did you get what you deserve?"

Length 3:16

Rating 8/10

Track 3 – This Is How I Disappear: This is quite an emo song, but it's still really cool, MCR kinda stuff. Listen to it after your breakup. I also like the bassline ;)

"And without you is how I disappear, and live my life alone"

Length 3:59

Rating 9/10

Track 4 – The Sharpest Lives: A nice metal kinda song, this song makes me think of a drunken man.

"Give me a shot to remember, and you can take all the pain away from me"

Length 3:21

Rating 9/10

Track 5 – Welcome To The Black Parade: This is Pretty much the song MCR are famous for, my dad has it on his iPod!. That doesn't make it bad though.

"And in my heart I can't contain it, the anthem won't explain it."

Length 5:11

Rating 8/10

Track 6 - I Don't Love You: This is a nice slowish ballad that is very solid. It's also very catchy, like much of the album, this is quite an emo song.

"So take gloves and get out, while you can"

Length 3:59

Rating 9/10

Track 7 – House of wolves: This is quite a change, it's a nice fast song that's pretty cool.

"Well, I think I'm gonna burn in hell, Everybody burn the house right down."

Length 3:04

Rating 7/10

Track 8 – Cancer: A nice, slow song that is very sad, it's about, obviously, someone with cancer.

"My sisters and my brothers still, I will not kiss you."

Length 2:23

Rating 8/10

Track 9 – Mama: A cool, fast song that is very catchy, which isn't a bad thing in this case.

"Mama we go to Hell, I'm writing this letter, and wishing you well, Mama we all go to hell".

Length 4:39

Rating 9/10

Track 10 – Sleep: This is a cool song, in typical MCR **** it's a medium pace song that still manages to be quite heavy.

"The hardest part is letting go of your dreams."

Length 4:43

Rating 7/10

Track 11 – Teenagers: This is probably one of MCR's most famous songs, it's pretty cool and all about violence and peer pressure.

"The boys and girls in the clique, The awful names that they stick, You're never gonna fit in much, kid, But if you're troubled and hurt, What you got under your shirt, Will make them pay for the things that they did."

Length 2:42

Rating 9.5/10

Track 12 – Disenchanted: A nice, slow song that speeds up slowly. Very powerful meaning.

"It was a lie when they smiled, And said you won't feel a thing, And as we ran from the cops, We laughed so hard it would sting."

Length 4:55

Rating 7/10

Track 13 – Famous Last Words: This is a really cool song about the choices we make in life.

"I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone."

Length 4:59

Rating 8/10

That's it, I left out the hidden track cuz you have to find it yourself ;)

Please comment, any suggestions will be welcome :)

Back in Black!

I'm back from suspension, even though I'm sure that none of you noticed ;)

Anyway, the MCR review is finished and will be up soon

also, I got a new album!

Sex Pistols, oh yaeh ;)

Insert Blog Title Here

Hey Guys, it's been a while since my last post.

Right now I am writing a review for The Black Parade by MCR and when I'm done I might do International Super Hits.

But I'm lazy ;), it might take a while.

While you're waiting, check out this thread, there's so much win in it.

Well anyway, I'm broke, again :)

I bought really sick green skinnys and a t-shirt. :)

Now I can't do anything any more this month :(

and... ya thats it ;)

Suggestions, and new features

Hry guys, I want to write another album review, but can't decide which one, here are my choices:

Green Day - International super hits

MCR - The Black Parade

Feel free to pm me or comment with more suggestions, prefferably rock

also, I'm thinking of starting 2 new features, a song of the moment thing and quote of the moment

let me know what you think

Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown review, and best quote ever?

Before I start, here is a brilliant quote from an OT board about why this guys church won't let him drink:

[QUOTE="LZ71"]I'd get out of that church. avatar_genius

You spelt "cult" wrong.

Anyway, onto the review, and yes I know it's late, suck it up.

Track 1 - Song Of The Century: A good song, not really one you would ever listen, but it's different and I like it.

Length 0:58

Rating : 5/10

Track 2 -21st Century Breakdown: This I like, it's not really a Green Day kinda vibe, but it's catchy, with solid rythms and a good song structure

Length 5:09

Rating 8/10

Track 3 - Know Your Enemy: This is more like it! This is Punk right here the drum beat is awesome, a warning though, fans of Rage Against The Machine, don't listen to this song, because this is so much better. It's a cool song with a slighty deeper meaning underneath if you look for it, did I mention the drum beat?

Length 3:10

Rating 9/10

Track 4 - ¡Viva La Gloria!: This is a bit of a change, it's quite slow but, like the most of the album, has a deeper meaning, but at around 1:09, it all changes. Suddenly, there's a punky kinda song.

Length 3:31

Rating 8/10

Track 5 - Before The Lobotomy: When I first heard this song, I was reminded of Metallica, that opening guitar sounds very simaliar. This is also a song that changes after a bit, but it works.

Length 4:37

Rating 7/10

Track 6 – Christians Inferno: A change of pace, this is a brilliant song that I really love, maybe one of the best of the album. I like the bassline also.

Length 3:07

Rating 9/10

Track 7 – Last Night On Earth: Another slow song, a nice song, a change from the deeper meanings, this song is kinda like a Green Day rock-love ballad.

Length 3:57

Rating: 7/10

Track 8 – East Jesus Nowhere: I love the guitar riff at the beginning, it's pure genius. It also kinda takes a dig at religion, so don't listen to it if your very religious. I also like the bass solo, it reminds me of "Holiday"

Length 4:35

Rating 8/10

Track 9 – Peacemaker: Now this is different, it's not really rock, it's kinda like a country/punk thing. This song also has a very sick bassline.

Length 3:24

Rating 8/10

Track 10 – Last Of The American Girls: I know I've said this a lot, but I like this bassline. This song also has this beeping at the end which carries over to the next song.

Length 3:51

Rating 9/10

Track 11 – Murder City: Yes, this song does have a nice bassline ;), its not my fault Green Day has awesome basslines. This song is a nice fast punky kinda song that is really ace.

Length 2:54

Rating 8/10

Track 12 - ¿Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl): I like the piano intro and also the carnival kinda vibe, know what I mean. This song seems to be about a kid that has nowhere to go.

Length 3:48

Rating 7/10

Track 13 – Restless Heart Syndrome: Don't let the intro put you off, this is a very punk song, it has a nice mix of slow rock and fast punk, which builds up slowly.

Length 4:21

Rating 7/10

Track 14 – Horseshoes and Hand Grenades: This is classic punk right here, all the other songs deserve -5 in comparison this song. Johnny and Sid would be proud.

Length 3:14

Rating 10/10

Track 15 – The Static Age: This is a cool song, and yes, I like the basslineJ;). This is also a nice punk song, it's all about the breakdown of society, from what I can tell.

Length 4:17

Rating 9/10

Track 16 – 21 Guns: Aha, it had to happen, a song about war, but this time it's not an up-beat punk song like American Idiot or Holiday, but it's still good.

Length 5:21

Rating 9/10

Track 17 – American Eulogy: Don't let the intro put you off, this is not "Song Of The Century" no, it's much better. A nice change from "21 Guns" in that it's a lot faster. The guitar riff in the chorus is also really cool.

Length 4:26

Rating 9/10

Track 18 – See The Light: Once again, don't let the intro put you off, this is not "21st Century Breakdown". It's not as good but it's not bad either.

Length 4:36

Rating 7/10

Best Track: Horseshoes and Hand Grenades

While it's not as good as, say, Nimrod or Dookie, this is by no means a bad album, my only fear is there gonna do a "Fall Out Boy", and become mainstream so that teenage girls will buy all their merchendise :?

Wait, what?

So I went onto Gamespot today to add The Sims 3 to my collection, and I happened to look at the Game you may like list.

This is what was there: (in the order it was on Gamespot)

7 Sins

Sexy Beach 3

Singles: Triple trouble

and then,

The Sims 3: World Adventures

The Sims 2

So why is it that on a game like The Sims 3, which many young kids will play is, A: There three adult games, and B: The expansion pack and the game before it last?

Sout African Soccer Team (Bafana Bafana)

Bafana Bafana has some of the most dedicated fans in soccer

When I found out that the Fifa World Cup 2010 would be held in South Africa, I was overjoyed.

Of course, then all the jokes came out about Bafana Bafana - South Africa's national soccer team - who used to be Terrible. I admit that I even told a few and laughed at them.

"What's the difference between a tea bag and Bafana Bafana?"

"The tea bag stays in the cup longer."

After all these jokes, Bafana Bafana came fourth in The Confed Cup, I was lucky enough to go to one of there games. Brazil 1 - 0 South Africa, I know this sounds a bit biased, but South Africa did not deserve to lose that match, Bafana Bafana's keeper played brilliantly and Brazil only managed to get one in from a free kick in the 88th minute.

Not bad for a team that is ranked 70th on Fifa ranking against a team that is ranked 1st.

Bafana Bafana is Zulu ( a African Language) for "The Boys, The Boys"

They also have players playing in the EPL :

DF Aaron Mokoena (Captain) - Portsmouth

MF Steven Pienaar - Everton

MF Elrio van Heerden - Blackburn Rovers

and

Benni Marcarthy used to play for Bafana Bafana, you may remember him from Blackburn Rovers.

Let's take a look at their African Nations Cup record:

1957 Disqualified because of apartheid
1959 to 1992 Banned from CAF
1994 Did not qualify
1996 Champions
1998 Runners up
2000 Third place
2002 Quarter-finals
2004 Round 1
2006 Round 1
2008 Round 1
2010 Did not qualify

And their Fifa World Cup Record:

1930-1962 Did not enter
1966-1990 Banned from FIFA because of Apartheid
1994 Did not qualify
1998 Round 1
2002 Round 1
2006 Did not qualify
2010 Qualified as hosts

And, finally, their Fifa Confed Cup Record:

1992 Did Not Qualify
1995 Did Not Qualify
1997 Round 1
1999 Did Not Qualify
2001 Did Not Qualify
2003 Did Not Qualify
2005 Did Not Qualify
2009 4th place

So, what is it that made South Africa suddenly make a long-overdue come-back?

New Coach?

Morale Boost from winning bid to hold Fifa World Cup?

I'll let you decide.
