Does it help stuttering and ocassional lag in games?

No

Depends where the lag/stuttering comes from. In certain instances if you're out of RAM or need to load tons of info, yes. Going into a very crowded place in a MMO for instance.

I am really really interested. I don't know how well it will work, obviously, but I think it has potential to be a lot more accurate than a regular 360 controller, which I'm using. Also will hopefully allow us to play RTS/hack-n-slash etc games sitting on my couch much more easily, which would be a great thing. I just wish they would implement an option for controller users not to face Mouse/KB players online.

I use Intel SRT and it's great. I think 30 gigs would be sufficient, as the SSD is only caching the most used files, so the central files of the OS and the files of your 1-2 most used games. Getting a 64gb SSD (or more, and having some space left for other things) would simply cache more applications/games... It does not cause issues or slow downs, but sometimes you do notice your system getting noticebly slower because whatever you're using is not cached yet... it's not the system hanging or anything, but simply going back to the HDD's speed. Overall it's not a perfect solution, but it's a GREAT solution when on a budget.

I'm in Canada, so it could be different, but I think it's ****. The layout is TERRIBLE, everything is a mess... We have much better offering here, first one on my mind is kijiji. Also, to trade video games I'd rather use Amazon's Marketplace...

Go to the pharmacy, and buy an antibiotic cream. Most popular brand here in Canada is polysporin... put that on it, than put a sterile bandage over it. Change it once a day, or when it's really dirty looking (bloody), for 3-4 days, until it's less tender.. then leave it alone. If you don'T put the cream, or don'T buy special dressing, it will get glued to the wound because of the blood and hurt like hell when you try to remove it. Best thing to do in that case is get the dressing wet. Wash with water and regular soap when you change the dressing. I'm a ER nurse, if that makes you trust my advice more.

1. Batman AC. I had a blast with this game, even playing it on a lowly Mac Mini 2011. Good story, nice graphics (could probably have been much nicer on my new rig), tight gameplay. 2. Tomb Raider. I LOVED this game. I'm a big 3rd person fan. Reminded me of Uncharted a lot, though less gunplay. Secondary characters are forgettable, but not too annoying. 3. Deux HR: Most of the game I loved, but the bosses are just stupid. WAY Too hard, completely different from the rest of the game... I stopped playing at the 2nd or 3rd one (they're few and far between)... It ruined the game for me. The devs even apologized for it, they outsourced that part of the game... Didn't play the other ones.

[QUOTE="Krigen89"]Just built myself something for 875 CAN$ Gigabyte Sniper.M3 Intel i5-3570k 8gb Corsair low-profile RAM Corsair 750W modular power supply (wanted 600W, this was on special at same price) EVGA GTX 660 Superclocked Only thing I didn't buy was the tower itself as I had an old ATX one lying around. Will eventually change it for a small tower/micro-ATX that looks better. With a tower it should put you around your 1000$ depending on what you choose. Very happy with it so far.homeboylizard
The 7950 is way better than the GTX 660. And no point in getting a 30$ more expensive MOBO...the Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 or 6 is just fine.

I've always been an AMD/ATI guy before (skipped PC gaming for a few years, budget issues) and always had these little nagging issues... decided to go Nvidia this time. That, and I wanted PhysX support. Also, I know the motherboard was slightly overpriced, but I wanted the higher-end sound chip and in my experience/everything I've read and heard: Gigabyte >> Asrock.

EDIT and the 7950 is much more expensive than the 660 SC, here in Canada anyways

Hey all,

I moved from PC to the 360 around 2007 to save on PC ugrades costs and to avoid all the BSOD/formatting/driver galore etc. found on PC.

Around 2010 I actually switched from 360 to PS3 after the 2nd time I had to send the 360 in for the RROD.

During this time, I REALLY enjoyed games like Uncharted and Gears of War, 3rd person games.  For some reason I prefer this perspective to first person.

Now, I'm thinking of switching back to PC for the next gen, mostly because I'm not as poor anymore and I'd like to enjoy the games in al their PC beauty, but I'm scared I won't find the type of games I like.

So, can anyone name some 3rd person games released in the last, say, 3-5 years that would fit the bill? Are there any, or are they all console exclusives?

Thanks

EDIT: 2nd quick question: I plan on putting my PC on my 50" TV and use a controller; do PC shooters allow for some "auto-aim" like on consoles, or will it make it much harder for me to play them vs mouse/keyboard?
