Review: Sleeping Dogs by Aaron Abelove

Sleeping Dogs has arrived and boy is it great. Square Enix has amazed me with the amount of textual design, China never looked prettier. At the start of the game you are placed in an undercover mission which of course goes wrong. Fortunately you meet an old friend in jail who hooks you up with the triads. Next your a triad gangster ruling the streets. The conversations between characters are just long enough to keep you awake and not fall asleep. When you are put into hand to hand combat, the fighting is like something out of a Bruce Lee movie. Its easy to remember combos and you can easily counter an attack. Driving in Sleeping Dogs is quite easy but you will encounter massive amounts of traffic. Weather will effect drifting and turns when raining. Shooting, rarely will you be putting a bullet into someone but when you do the games easy cover system an pop and shoot will have you shooting like a pro. All together the games beauty and mechanics are brought together for an action packed ride of sex, drugs, and violence.

REVIEW- Quantum Conundrum

As I played the groovy Quantum C. I was amazed at how easy the puzzles were at first. Then as I progressed I rethought that statement. The puzzles will get get very tricky. Finally a game is given to us (other than Portal) that requires us to think. As you progress, the games puzzles will challenge you to think, and think, then try and think again. Although the main rooms where the puzzles are given are decorated nicely and there are a lot of things going on. The walls in the halls are bare, it almost seems like an art room without any art. The game's conversations will sometimes lag on and you may get sick of your Uncle's voice fast. Overall the game will really make you think, try and then think some more. If you liked Portal 2, you'll probably like this. 8.5 out of 10

Sick of COD?

I play for a semi competitive Call of Duty Team. For years now I've been addicted to this game, don't get me wrong its fun. I first started playing COD when Big Red One came out, I was instantly addicted. The story back then was amazing and I never had online for my PS2 so I didn't have to worry about #*$holes. As the new ones came out I kept playing. Just last year, I was playing some MW3. As I was playing I kept getting owned. After about my 16th death I said WTF and turned off my console. Luckily I'm not one of those strictly Call of Duty ONLY gamers. I'll admit that I'm a complete Nerd. Posters of super heroes and games on my wall, collected gaming magazines/ comic books, and Attack of the Show fanatic. I was able to really get into RPGs, other FPS games, and plenty more. I now only play COD once a week maybe. Just open up, there is plenty of other games out there. Just set COD aside, go to your nearest game store and buy something other then this online driven game.
