If I'm not mistaken, GT is now confirmed to be noncanon. Toriyama didn't really have a part to play in it, and he kind of looked at it as a sidestory anyway, so we're not really losing anything.

I am very excited for the new series. It's nice to see DBZ come back, although I hope things don't get too ridiculous. I feel like Super Saiyan god was pushing it a bit. :P
