What a joke, this comes from the same People that have 8 Mario Karts 10 trillion Marios , Super Smash that has been basically same for like the last 15 years , and remaking Wind Waker in HD.
Please fool some one else, i waited such a long time for the good games for Wii , but they never came.
First I DO own a Wii, I just don't buy games for it, not even pirate.
1) Yes Call of duty is releasing a lot of sequels, but they have been doing it for a lot less time, and I bet you anything they have less games than Mario(just mario, no other nintendo IPs) . People first saw COD in 2003 , People first saw Mario in 1981 in the arcades. There are a total of 9 COD games made . I believe there are at least 10 Mario games made JUST FOR THE WII. I am not counting the Donkey Kongs, or Zeldas.
2) You really think that Nintendo sold so much because of the good games library not because of the fad that you move your hand in the air and the console will react to you like in Wii Sports? If so, how come the GameCube and N64 didn't sell so well while I believe everyone will agree those 2 consoles had better game libraries than Wii. The Wii even sold more than the SNES which arguably is the best console in history, and it had just 1 competitor
5)None of my friends or any adult I know wants a Wii. I never heard of them even talk about it unlike the N64 days. Even when I stopped playing video games I have seen the gamecube people gathering around Super Smash or playing Mario Kart(when it was worthwhile) . I tried to force my friend to play Brawl but it just didn't pick up. Mario Kart is just....I don't want to talk about it.
4) Whoever bought the Wii because he is a kid and liked to swing the wiimote and get a kick out of it, is 18 by now. He is going to college he is picking a ps4 or the new xbox

We are both saying the same thing, but I lost hope and you still refuse to lose hope. I thought they might go back to their senses but instead they came with something ridiculous , its a Wii but its called Wii U HAHAHAHAHA give me a break. Its not an iPad, its not a tv console. Its....just give us your money and we will give you ANOTHER mario game YAAAAAY.
7) Mario brought no new IPs since I do not recall when. I think Pikmin was their last. PS3 got us with LittleBigPlanet and Uncharted . XBox gave us Gears of Wars and Alan Wake. What did nintendo do? Another Zedla WOOOOHOOOOOOO same gameplay with upgraded graphics.
I don't care about this console any more. I see no reason in buying their games. If I play another Mario or Zelda game I will stab myself in the head. Nintendo IPs are the longest running IPs in video game history. People have been playing those IPs before the world wide web was born, before people knew what a personal computer is.
They make no effort what so ever to stay relevant . I don't want to play mario Kart 1249343503549384 or Zelda 200000000000000 . Those casual market is no longer going to be there because Kinect and iPad/ipod touch are eating those market. I bet you any kid wants an iPad over a Wii.
I thought they might change direction but they made something worse, a console and a tablet that they have to be together to play them.
I am sure there will be those unique games that you want to try with the wii U , but thats not enough to make the Wii U purchase.
There will be Nintendo fans that will defend the Wii U , there will always be people crying to get another Mario game, but guess what? There are still people crying to get Shenmue and swearing that Sega is the best video games company out there.
This is coming from some one who has strong nostalgia for the SNES and think its the best damn video game console in history, his favorite console is the n64, can not believe Gamecube didn't get appreciate enough for its amazing library, never owned ps2 or 3 , was upset with 360 hardware quality and design, and wanted the Wii to win this console race sales and game library wise.
