You can change up the controller setting to make it play just like (I think exactly like) flying in Ace Combat 4. If you remember that one.

This is all I ask. I loved AC4! Best one in my opinion. I look forward to getting this game.

I'm interested in getting Battlefield 4, but I'm curious if I'll even manage vehicle control. I'm really good at Ace Combat games, so I'm wondering how different air flight is in Battlefield than it is in Ace Combat.

My backwards compatible 80 GB fat PS3 has finally come to the end of its days. I've seen you can transfer your entire data from one PS3 to another with an ethernet cable connecting the two. I read on a different thread that it is possible to transfer between an old fat one to a new slim one (which I will be getting tomorrow for Christmas). However, What happens to all the PS2 files on my old PS3? I've come to terms with the fact that my PS2 games are now museum items that can never be played again, and that it'll be quite some time to see some of my favorite PS2 games to ever come out on the PSN (maybe the PS4?), but I wasn't sure if there would be complications in the transfer considering my old PS3 has all those PS2 files.

Unfortunately, my old 80GB backwards compatability PS3 finally recieved the yellow light of death after numerous years and countless memories.... It is my understanding that the only fix for this is to send it to Sony for $150 and have them wipe the data on it as well. Is this really the only fix? If so, is it "good as new" again and will last me another many years to get me to PS4? Other than losing the backwards compatibility (goodbye Battlefront and Final Fantasy.....), what annoys me is all the data I will be losing if Sony really does wipe the PS3 in a fix.

Here are the options I see me having.

1. Send to Sony for the $150 fix and lose data.

2. Buy new PS3 for $250-300 and lose data.

OR... youtube time for hybrid plan,

Take hard drive out, blow dry the back for 15 minutes in 5 minute intervals, get onto a hopefully working PS3, quickly eject Assassin's Creed III, quickly buy PlayStation Plus membership, save vital files to PlayStation Plus, then

3. Send to Sony for $150 fix (here's the thing... will they fix it after tampering it with the blow dryer?)

4. Buy new PS3 and download the files saved on PlayStation Plus.

Since I want to save the data (that's my childhood right there), I'd rather not do options 1 or 2. So my primary questions follow:

A. Will Sony fix a tampered-with-blow-dryer PS3?

B. Is a yellow light of death Sony fix "as good as new" for the next many years to come?

C. Is my blow dryer technique to save the data possible?

Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. I love my PS3 and I want to save my childhood memories.

Ask again next year, still 2011.

_Bear
I noticed I had put 2012 when the game hasn't come out yet. In The Show 2011, can the rosters be updated w/o doing that manually?

Hi,

So in FIFA, you have the option of downloading the latest rosters. I was wondering if that is also available in MLB The Show 2012?

from the recent patches there have been a schlew of crashing issues/ startup issues, I wouldnt be suprised if it was one of those. I got one of the worst ones in which the only fix was to re install windows. It uses most of the same coding from napoleon and empire so if they work, shogun should also. I think you should check out the steam forums/ shogun 2 forums for fixes on the crashes.

soldine

The responses to fixes on the crashes are things like "Reinstall the game" or "Varify the cache". The Steam forum board's advice didn't work and people still cant get it to work. But I feel as though people still are playing the game. This is an issue, but one may not be affecting everyone

Ok, so I understand how difficult I'm making it to install the game, and here is why. I have a 2010 13" Macbook Pro. I have Windows 7 running on Bootcamp. I have an external hardrive to install Shogun 2 onto. To this date, Rome, Medieval 2, Empire, and Napoleon Total Wars have all worked fine on highest graphics capabilities while being installed this way. However, when I got Shogun 2, all goes wrong. I purchased the Limited Addition copy, and after installation, downloaded the limited game content, as well as the two DLC on Steam. I click run. First off, it takes over a minute to load past the first screen. After it does, it proceeds to the pre-game video of the two samurai battling and then the red army invades. After this video, the game "crashes" to desktop, still with Shogun 2 mouse though, so I cannot click anything. After ctrl-alt-delete to get to a clickable desktop, I proceed to click on Shogun 2 thinking it just minimized. Nothing happens. It just gives me the Shogun 2 mouse arrow again, while remaining on the desktop.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and the same issue occurs. I varified the cache and the error continues. I am baffled as to why I cannot get this game to work. I had looked so forward to playing it. Again, the previous Total Wars, Steam-required or not, work on my Mac under bootcamp with Windows 7 installed onto an external hardrive. I do not understand how that would be the problem now.

Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Hey, so I'm interested in knowing the specifications of my laptop so I can learn what I can upgrade and how. Can I look it up somehow on my laptop?

Hi,
I'm going to get a gamecube and around 5 games, all for under 100 bucks, plus I'm splitting the price, so I'm gonna be pretty happy. However, it occured to me that in the same generation, the PS2 required a memory card to save games. I know the N64 saves in the cartridge, and consoles nowadays have hard drives, butI do not know about the Gamecube. Oddly enough, I'm having a hard time looking it up. I notice there are memory cards available, but I don't know how necessary they are. (There were "memory cards" for the N64 as well).

So in short, will I need a memory card to play my games so I don't lose data each timeI turn the system off?
