There is a simple solution for Star Citizen.

Fire Chris Roberts.

The guy is an idiot, he doesn't know where to draw the line to stop the realistic so the fun gameplay can begin, that is what's dragging the development of this game and killing it.

Just look at that stupid demo, hovering text to mark interactive spots that was as vague as it could be bouncing all over the screen, just what you want...
And changing off the armor into a flight suit before you can fly the ship? That will be so fun while you're under-fire... Never mind the overly scripted sitting animations.
I guess Chris Roberts never got around to play any GTA and get shot while trying to get into a car, I'm not saying there shouldn't be any animation, but you DEFINITELY shouldn't need to change attire before flying a stupid ship.

Not to mention they're still rewriting their lore to this day...

As for the people here going head over heels because of the tech demo, please... You get mostly empty places with the same tree copied dozens of times, and a tiny little rusty ship. So what?
If you took some screen shots of that and posted them on these forums saying it was a "new console game, doesn't it look great?" everyone would lol.
Even the space station floating and rotating in orbit, so what? Have you people never heard of LOD? You can make that with 100 polygons and a 512x512 skin, big deal.

Making full size planets isn't that hard, look at Elite Dangerous, they done it with a fraction of the budget.
Yes Star Citizen planets will have vegetation, and enemies and all that, but that's only a step up from what Elite Dangerous has, hell, if I had to bet I'd say before Star Citizen comes out, Elite Dangerous will be delivering on most of what Star Citizen has been promising.
They'd only need to add (on some planets) water, random vegetation, walking around off vehicles, random scripted encounters and boom, they'd have something pretty close to what Star Citizen is promising.
Mind you, in comparison, Elite Dangerous is underfunded and understaffed, so that's saying something.

They think: "wow, this guy has money to spend on useless stuff, better bang him and get him to buy me a lot of useful shoes that cost as much as a high-end GPU."

I'll introduce you to an idea: If you don't like it don't buy it.

I liked the MGS series, I liked the long cutscenes and you know what? I bought (almost?) all of them.

You know how many hours I've sat, say, playing the Gear of War saga? About 45 minutes, the 1st, because I got it really cheap for PC. The others I didn't even touched them. With the amount of independent reviewers you have today at your fingertips, and even LPs you don't have to jump blind on anything.

How is this even up for debate?

And I borrow games, not buy them second hand, do I feel bad about it? No.

Why would I? What would be next then, don't borrow movies? Don't borrow books? Don't borrow tools?

2TB on a PS4 doesn't cut it?

Unless you don't have a PC for all your vacation videos and other crap media like that that no one ever wants to see, I cannot possibly imagine anyone sucking up 2TB on video games alone in a PS4.

For my PS4 game needs 500GB is enough, or maybe I'm not playing enough on it.

So Sony came out with a PS4 with pre-installed 1TB HD (and some upgraded hardware someone mentioned?) and they decided to best (or one) way to market it was like that.
How is this in any way showing that a company "does not care about you"?

This is most disturbing, finding out I haven't lived yet.
And all because I haven't played a game that some guys watching TV once said "Hey, you know what? This stupid thing they're doing on Top Gear is a great game idea, let's do it!"

You can tell the difference between 30 and 60 from the end of the street.

It's not a matter of preferring (although some people might actually get motion sickness from 60FPS and prefer 30) it's a matter of balance.

For example, I much rather have my FPS locked at 30 to have it constantly there instead of having it bouncing between 30~90, not gonna point any names *cof*GW2*cof* but believe it or not major fluctuation like that does happen on some games.

Then it comes to price, if I lay top money for a machine I better get top performance, the problem is sometimes the numbers don't always add up and you end up paying several times more just for two times the frame rate.

Do you think MS is doing enough to compete with Sony?

No, for a company that big with so many resources it's pathetic. And that's thanks to some incompetent people they get working for them that new nothing about games before they landed that job, not gonna point any names here, even because they aren't that famous.
I remember Microsoft was actually the first company to print "exclusive" on the cover of their titles, when the original was release you could see plenty of idiotic claims on the brochures they passed around, which can only tells either the people that put it together were absolutely dull or they were just appealing to people that didn't know better.

But talking about right now what they tried to pull off with the Xbox One just boggles the mind, thankfully we had the internets dealing with that!

But still, their insistence on coming out with the Kinect as standard for a start was idiotic.
I get the idea behind it. The success of the Wii was entirely thanks to the Wiimote being included. Had that been an optional preferential with just a regular controller as standard and the console would have flopped bit time. People loved the gimmick, everyone had one, it was cheap and fun, what more could you ask? Problem is most of those ended up forgotten and unloved pretty quickly, I have a neighbor which the only game she has for it, is the Wiisports that came included, nothing else. And I like her I can imagine plenty of other people.

So trying to introduce a gimmick when that kind of people had already moved on from it, on a 500USD console?
Not only that, there's not one single game that makes the thing worth it, it's just a thing you toss up when you're drunk with some friends around, it doesn't work nearly as well as they always claim to, and at the end of the day people just feel their privacy invaded with a freaking camera that was spouse to be always on.

The number one thing they should have focused on, was the GAMES, all that other crap with video calls and integrated facebook is just that, crap. Consoles don't need to be this bloated media thing trying to do everything and "bringing you and your friends closer together".
I wanna get my disc on, play my game, borrow games from my friends and call them names when they return my games scratched.

Did I mention the only thing I want in a console is games?

I don't see it being better than the early 90's.
If anything it's getting worst, specially since it seems like, thanks to teens running the economy, it's become the go-to platform for puking infants...

That's not even the worst part, I'm still playing with a digital-input-keyboard and a mouse, in the last 30 years the only innovation we saw was... Moving from the arrow keys to WASD?

I never got the love affair some people had with the Xbox 360, I liked the original Xbox a lot more.
