@the_hunger Star Citizen technically has 2 games in it. Squadron 42 which is the mission based thing ala Starlancer (I presume) and an open world (universe?) type game like Freelancer's post-story.
@pqwoei Rorona, Totori and Meruru had the same Character Designer; Kishida Mel. Not too sure about previous ones. The new Atelier Ayesha has characters designed by Hidari
Personally, I don't hate what she suggested. What ticked me off was that she said she didn't like playing games. Personally, if the writer doesn't like playing the game in which he/she is in charge of writing the story of, the integration of the story->gameplay would be lacking. This mostly because I like both the gameplay and the story. But this is my personal opinion, nor did I join that s*itstorm which so many people seemed so intent on berating Hepler. Even R.A. Salvatore, the man behind so many fantasy novels and the story of Amalur, worked closely with the team to make the entire setting of KoA:R. In his interview, he said "The visuals, combat, monsters and music all need to fit together to create one cohesive story." But it seems to me that Hepler just throws the story she made at the devs and that's that. And as far as I know, Salvatore doesn't play games, but seems so intent on working together that it puts Hepler to shame. For me, the best writer a game could have is Ree Seosbee. That girl has an incredible background on gaming and novels. And her dedication to the gaming industry itself is a big plus. oh, and I'm enjoying Amalur more than I did with DA2. I couldn't even let myself finish DA2 even if I wanted to.
