[QUOTE="Litchie"]If what the people in this thread say is true, then Day Z is the one copying War Z.. Yea, I'm sure it was Rocket's master plan to hijack a game already in development and beat them to the punch by releasing it as a mod for a game instead of a stand-alone game so he could get hired to work for BI. If War Z began development sooner, why does it appear that they're trying to ride Day Z's success? You guys do know that War Z is going to be pay-to-win, right? Didn't they pick the single-purchase model in order to avoid pay-to-win, since they didn't like that? I'm pretty sure that's what I got out from the interview at IGN, or could've been the information on pcgamer.[QUOTE="KHAndAnime"]There's no better way to show that your game is original than by copying an already existing game's concept and name...KHAndAnime

My guess is the GT640 or HD7670 is the best. But again, you're asking us to choose the least sucky GPU. None of them are great, or even good for that matter, for gaming purposes.ok, here are a list of some other possible GPU's i can add on my computer:
1GB AMD Radeon HD 7570
1GB AMD Radeon HD 7670
3GB Nvidia GeForce GT640
and of course the original one i had posted:
2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT630
so which one is the best?

Tomshardware.co.uk has some pretty decent GPU charts, which should allow you to get a better understanding of the power of the GPU's currently on the market.
It is quite simple overall and you can find a guide easily on Youtube, that's what I did when I first got it. Haven't saved the link though, but shouldn't take more than a search. You should install the Beta patch for Arma 2 when you get it, as it'll allow you access to more servers too (those using the beta patch).
You can also use their launcher too, SixLauncher or something like that, on the official site.
Edit: I went about and found the video for you anyway. Two clicks and a few words: Tadaa!
[QUOTE="Ballroompirate"][QUOTE="igsmither"]I hope this mod is good as I have been told, sounds very promising so i'm re-downloading the game for this.... see you all in gameGamingVengeance
It's pretty good, nothing like god status like some make it out to be but it is extremely fun. My biggest grip is they made Walkers (aka zombies) sense range ridiculous now. The other day I was crawling in a little town and a walker somehow sensed me 30 feet away...
DayZ is extremely fun with friends specially if you can find each other and start exploring.
ya the last update completely fvcked it up, iv honestly had zombies run after me from 80 feet away. and i was lying still on the ground. Oh geez. I was looking forward to playing with the new patch today. Guess I should look into rolling back.damn..can anyone recommend a good free game, preferably with a unique combat system? thanksLuciiifer
You should check out War of the Roses. The game looks brilliant, much in the style of Mount & Blade and sign-ups for the beta has just begun.
Here's a video of The Yogscast playing the Alpha version of the game.
Here's a video of TotalHalibut playing the Alpha version of the game (they are in the same game, different perspectives!).
[QUOTE="giovannimcc"]source? As far as I recall, they're simply debating the possibility of making DayZ a stand-alone game, and if that is the case, then it might be free-to-play. But I'm guessing that it would be a while before this actually happens, if they even decide to do it.I might be buying this. But the creator said it may go free wtf does he not want my money?

thanks, but if you can log out and keep your weapons,, couldn't that be abused? Like what if you and a friend have pistols in a store, and two bandits outside the store start telling you come out and drop your weapons and give it to them or they will come in and kill you for them. Couldn't you and the friend log out safely before anything happens and spawn again somewhere else? That kinda ruins the gamereach3Yes, you could simply log out and find another server, but it is considered a poor thing to do and breaks the game immersion. Some people also abuse this sort of thing to avoid death by disconnecting the instant they go down. I encountered this myself and it was extremely annoying, but Rocket (Main Developer) is working on some sort of a fix to prevent this come Beta.
