nope, nothing is free except trailers and demos. You can go play some games and unlock some avatar awards but thats the closet thing to free you will get.

Yes you can but you have to work the math. Most new games that are being sold used are only $5 off from full price. If you are purchasing a EA Sports game or the recent UFC game then that $5 savings is not worth the $10 you hav to pay EA/THQ if you want to play online.

No one else has mentioned either that a LOT of games are giving you exclusive content if you buy new now. Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield BC 2 are great examples. Both of these games have give quite a few FREE DLC packs for people who bought the game new and entered the code. If you buy used and want the same content you have to pay $15 to get it.

Long story short - before you buy used do some research to see if their is any content you may be missing out on. Right now chances are good you will be ok unless its a new sports game but in a years time I expect this to be the norm.

of course it is...the box art even says COD: Modern Warefare 2 on it. It only says COD on the basic version of the game though, not the harden or prestige versions.

the problem stemmed from the 360 version of BF1943. Everyone who has it knows the game was unplayable for the first few days because EA messed up and didnt realize how many servers they needed. Now that you can at least play a week later some of the game is still broken like squad chat and joining with friends. Its playable now and a fun game but none the less it is broken. His point was if no one complains then it will get fixed still. My point is simple, I paid for a product and therefore it should work on day 1. If I buy a car I want to drive it off the lot, not wait a week and come back. Sure would EA have fixed the game at some point? Yes, would have been nearly as quick had there not been complaints all over the web and news articles on gaming websites? Not a chance.

Is this a joke question? majadamus
nope not at all, someone is arguing with me that you should never complain and just let them fix it. I've been going back and fourth on this for 2 weeks and he still insists that its not worth his time to complain and that people are stupid that do it. I'm proving to him that 95% of people are like me and would expect a working product regardless of what it is.

I'm not referring to improvements later, those are always welcomed. I'm referring to the disk is not working or you put it in and you cant play a game online and its online an online game.

Simple question, when you buy a product, whether it is a video game, a car, a cd player, etc, should it work the day you buy it? If it doesnt work would you either complain about it to get it fixed or refunded, not say anything and just loose your money or accept that some things dont work when you buy it but as long as they fix it eventually its ok.

yep, it is your TV. Most games are designed with HDTV in mind so the resolution is smaller on SDTV's. There is nothing you can do except buy a new hdtv.
