So it's a green system is what they're saying.

@GiddyPrincess Just wanted to say that as someone who is playing the game with a child, replaying sections over and over again due to lack of save points, and the way some of the boss battles play out, can be very frustrating. It can be fairly challenging at times. I think it's fantastic that some players enjoyed the challenge spikes, but checkpoints would have been nice all the same. Not everyone enjoys replaying sections of game over and over again, and not everyone has the time. This macho "I did it perfect and you suck at games" response is what's wrong with gaming culture.

@LogicSavanT You missed the point. The article isn't about the game as a faulty or sexist piece of storytelling; it's about how games like Last of Us and BioShock Infinite are held up on a pedestal for elevating women from damsels in distress into sidekicks. They're still not the heroes, and the resolution still involves killing to protect them. That doesn't make them bad, but it does beg the question of why making a female character somewhat self-sufficient is worthy of endless praise.

Considering that the nature of reviews should be to inform those looking for more information, I appreciate critical sources that value accuracy and relevance over speed. People who can't wait or intend to pass have already made up their minds and don't need reviews except to justify their own habits.
