I stopped playing EQ1in 2001, and with the release of Everquest 2 I just assumed that the Everquest 1 community died out, but then I noticed the other day that a new EQ1 expansion was releasedand that they are working on another one! (this was a huge shock for me) Do a lot of people still play EQ1? And, if so, are the servers mostly filled with super-powerful high level characters?KickinDirty

Go to www.mmogchart.com and get a laugh.... Look at the 70,000 to 700,000 population chart and hoot over how there are more people playing EQ than EQ2 right now!!!

[QUOTE="thanatose"]If I remember correctly Two Worlds came out in the US the same day as BioShock did.anandram

= ADDS TO MY CONFUSION.. so why are there patches since may 07? The release date here at GS says its due this week. BUt many have had it since may 07...its all a bit confusing really.

It's really simple. The game was made in Europe. It's been out in Europe longer than in the US. Many European games come out there first. Just like most Asian made console games come out in Japan first.

It's not that hard of a concept.

No game is worth $100? I used to think the same way. I heard that 2007 and 2008 were gonna be the year of awesome games. As far as my gaming history has gone, I think it has lived up to its title. These two years are being filled with awesome games. Timeshift, Bioshock, GTA IV, Stranglehold, MOH: Airborne, Half-Life 2; The Orange Box, Assassins Creed, Blacksite: Area 51, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction, Destroy All Humans 3, COD 4, Prototype, Wet, DMC 4, Hellgate London, Jericho and heaps more.

So for the next two years considering the awesome games coming out. Yes, I think some of them are worth $100.

I don't know where you live, but where I am, games sell for $40. No game is worth $100.

i always use 1600x1050 because it will be wrong to play low settings on 22 inch monitor...8)

everything is distorted in lower settings

gfile

Well, your monitor doesn't determine whether or not you can play at high settings, your PC does. And with your specs (especially the single core processor and only 1 gig of ram) don't support running it on high settings.

[QUOTE="BounceDK"]It has installation limits (2 or 5), it's locked to your hardware (you can't sell it to anyone, you can't upgrade your pc). Good stuff indeed. I got my copy but returned it. They can keep their crap for all I care.BounceDK

If someone installs the game, then upgrades their processor or graphics card, then they can no longer play the game?

That's correct. 2K did say that you could just uninstall the game and then install it again on a new pc or your upgraded one, but countless of reviewers had issues the minute they tried doing that. So it's locked to your pc for good. However they are talking about making some sort of owner transfer thing, so if you wanna sell it you have to remove yourself from the owner list or something. But that's just talk currently, I doubt they'll actually make it happen.

I love it when people talk out of their butts.

I think that Blizzard is developing the game StarCraft 2 is hype enough. They make quality games and chances are we won't be dissapointed. Plus StarCraft 2 is due when? I think between a year or 2, I'm not too sure. There will be plenty of chances to hype this game up.

Having said that, there must be some hype out there. You just have to find it, or start some yourself. I'm pretty hyped about the game though, woo starcraft 2, awesome.

Cracker__Jack

A year or 2? Realease date says 2007??

Are you serious? There is no release date until BLIZZARD gives you one. They have always stated that they DO NOT give release dates to distributers/retailers/publications until it is set in stone. If EB has one, it's because they want your pre-order monies.

These games have always been an interest for me. I usually hit up the free trials and I am starting a LOTRO trial right now and with all the new MMORPGs coming out, I am wondering which one is the best one to go for. Tabula Rasa looks intriguing but I will probably have to upgrade my system so I want to stay away from it.jimmypop_04

So asks the man with Arthas as his avatar.....

[QUOTE="Hewkii"]there's Hellgate: London. technically, I don't think it's an MMO...lordlors

is there an epic single player experience?

Well, the game's not out yet so we really don't know. But (and I am reaching here) with the way you upgrade your character in Bioshock, you could technically call it RPG-like.

while your replying back yelling at me you could maybe give a link or post the answer i mean why post back if not just to yellanimefreak8866

The number is the model number. Nvidia GeForce 6600 ( or 6200 or 7900). Usually the higher the number the more features or better performance you will get out of it. And no, you cannot upgrade the card itself. You can only buy a better card to replace the one you have now. Seeing your lack of PC knowledge, it would be best for you to go to a specialist to handle the hardware stuff.
