I've had my 360 for at least a couple of years now and have never got a gold account. Yeah, I'm weird. xD

Just to throw a question out on here if I may: does anyone know if The Old Republic will be available on Mac? Has that been announced at all?

It's a fancy piece of hardware for sure. Problem is, I got the original PSP, hardly played it and then ultimately traded it in because there were so few games for it that appealed to me. And for all it's shiny new features, this new'n still doesn't feel that different somehow. Either way, I bet it'll cost a lot of money and I'm already pretty certain I'll be getting the 3DS - I can't afford both!

Sonic in the megadrive days. Definitely Mario after that.

This is a good question. Certainly the Nintendo games were and are a big deal for me, and I would have likely got the Gamecube's successor had it been just a standard next-gen console. But when I learnt about the Wii's motion controls I got a lot more enthusiastic for the console. It certainly secured the deal for me. The thing is, I think we've almost become a bit desensitised to motion control now. We've got used to it on the Wii and don't see it as such a big deal anymore. But I don't think too many people could say they didn't get just a bit excited when they experienced tennis or bowling on Wii Sports for the first time. I'm sure it was the reason to get a Wii for more people than not, and of course especially for that now famous (or infamous) demographic of casual/non-gamers. I don't see it as a big deal that the Wii isn't a full HD console. As it happens I think the Mario Galaxy games are amongst the most visually pretty games I've seen, and the subtle use of motion control in those games work perfectly for me. As most people have said, so long as the motion controls aren't just a tacked-on afterthought or forced into games for the sake of it, but rather are implemented to enhance control accuracy and/or a game's experience, it can only be a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

Command & Conquer and the megadrive Sonic The Hedgehog games. Probably a nostalgia thing but I think they're still awesome games.

I've not played any of the more recent Duke Nukem games, but this post reminded me of how much I loved the original game and Duke Nukem II for MS-DOS. Wow I feel old. xD

It's not hugely important to me. Of course games are all about fun at the end of the day, and whether you get enjoyment in completion - in exploring every nook and cranny and conquering every challenge in a game - determines, or at least should determine, how you value gamerscore. What I do find sad is when people basically force themselves to get every achievement even if they don't enjoy it, or worse still buy a game purely for its high gamerscore and nothing else. That baffles me.
