I'm not, i'm staying on Gamespot for the time being to see how this whole situation turns out. I mean i hate the fact Jeff is gone but there are the other editors and users on here i still want to stay in contact with.

I disagree with most of Jeff's reviews, pretty much ignore them; its the reason for what he was fired for and what this "new" management priorities are first hand that make this site irrelevant from now on. The way posters such as GG can't even express criticism toward this site without getting banned, change of review system, disagreeing with a lot of reviews recently is driving this site downhill.

Still I could be back for the forums, but they don't deserve the traffic each time a poster visits this forum ( more hits= more $$ for ad space). This site has a great community, but I don't think it will be the same as it was before, especially since Greg left and the site's integrity is as good as Bush's presidency.

Agreed sir. I know I'll miss hearing Jeff on The Hotspot, but that doesn't anger me anywhere near as much as the fact that he was fired because he was giving his honest opinion. If the new management wants to base review scores on how much advertising money they're getting, then I really hope this site loses a lot of cash from loss of subscribers and decreased traffic.

Personally, I'll probably stick around a bit more today, just cause I'm curious of what people have to say in this thread, but after that, I'm gone. I was spending most of my time on 1up anyway.

Well, you have to have a certain ammount of doubt, but 1up is usually on the money with this stuff, and I don't think they really have a hostile attitude towards Gamespot. Anywho, here's the article that tipped me off:

Well, this thread will probably get locked immediately like all the others, but I fell it needs to be said.

The new gamespot managers firing JeffGerstmann is **** Gamespot is **** now. Seriously. Gerstmann was the heart and soul of Gamespot. Especially "The Hotspot". I don't really see much reason to come to Gamespot anymore. I'll just stick with 1up and Gamerankings.

If what the 1up article says is true, I fully expect Gamespot to completely go down the tubes pretty soon. **** you Colvin.
