@Vegamyster a hard drive allows the game to access more info and faster than reading it from the optical disk, as well as saving player data, thats why even console games require now hard-drive install (unfortunatly forcing you to wait a lot before the 1st time you play).
If Nintendo would want to make a Pokemon MMO (think World of Warcraft - Pokemon style) they sure would need lots of Gb space.
But the most lacking in my opinion is the CPU. As you said, the graphics processor is good and the Ram too so I'm sure Nintendo can explore the strength of their system in an outstanding way, unfortunatly not all 3rd parties are as good as them and would need more to create less.
@Vegamyster @Itsthetruth They sure did look great, I was actually impressed by bayonetta in that jetfighter part. But it's not enough to run Xbox360-and-PS3-like graphics in a higher resolution i think.
If there would be a better processor and a bigger hard drive it wouldn't be for the graphics but for more complex games, more intelligence for the NPCs, better physic systems... Why not a Pokemon MMO?
This hardware imposes limitations to what you can imagine with the system, and that's the problem.
And Nintendo should see hardware as something that should be up-to-date, because more power means more possibilities too for the good developers. Right?
Nintendo clearly need a new leadership, someone who is not stuck in the same ideas and mistakes; someone that understands that the company can explore the smart phone market and even other consoles as a way to introduce their games to a wider public and without shutting their own (Nintendo) hardware.
@silvergol @Itsthetruth well it would take a too long post to explain. But I see this as an selling impulse after the other day stocks went up 17%. Yeah it was a big jump and probably the value will go down a bit but in the long term things seem good.
