I played consoles for a very long time, but in the long run, I opted to make PC my primary platform. The last generation was the last one for me as an owner of multiple systems. I probably shouldn't have gotten all of them, but I'm wiser now. I think that I will get a Wii eventually because the play experience is so different than what I'm offered on anything else, and much of it looks entertaining and intreaguing. Other than that, Not interested.
I searched the PC game "Spore" in Gamespot AU..and it came up for the release date..2nd Quarter 2008. What are the "Quarters" of the year and also, I searched "Spore" on the EA Games AU website and it said "Spore" was to be released early 2007. Does anyone have a deffient knowladge of the Australian released date forthis game? It looks amazing and the idea is so perfect!
Thanks

The "quarters" of the year are just that, quarters. a quarter is 1/4th of something. There are 12 months in a year. 12/4=3. So a quarter is every three months. 1st quarter is Jan-Mar, 2nd quarter is Apr-Jun, 3rd Quarter is Jul-Sept, 4th Quarter is Oct-Dec.
Currently it is slated to be released for EA Fiscal Year 2009 (this refers to when they announce profits for the previous quarter) so it could come out anytime between September, 2008 and September 2009.
Or it could be delayed even further. But don't expect it for at least 14 months.
Most of the games for Windows titles do not require Vista. So far the only two titles that do are Shadowrun and Halo 2. There are a number more GFW titles than that, and the rest all run perfectly well on XP.
